(41:00) Is top ranked Indiana under the most pressure to win the college football playoff? I’ll have the top storylines and breakdown the quarterfinals as it picks up on New Year’s Eve.

(51:14) Are the Knicks the best team in the East? Is San Antonio already an elite team? Trouble brewing in LA with the Lakers? I’ll answer all of those questions and take a look at what’s happening in the Association this week.

(54:42) It’s a big week for the NBA as the Christmas Day slate will have five big games (four of them Western Conference matchups) Is OKC slowing down a bit after losing their third game (and two of three) to Minnesota?

(1:00:22) Sidney Crosby has passed Penguins legend and NHL all time great, Mario Lemieux for the franchise leader in points as I’ll see what the latest is on the ice.

(1:04:09) Japanese slugger Munetaka Murakami signs with a team in a big market, but it may not be what you think as we’re still waiting for big time free agents to sign deals in MLB.

(1:06:52) Jake Paul gets knocked out by Anthony Joshua on Friday night in their Netflix fight on Friday. Does he deserve more respect or ridicule for his performance?

It’s feeling like winter in these parts, so let me provide some heat as I’ve got a lot to say on what the sports world has to offer as the latest podcast has arrived. On deck:

(6:34) You can check a few more teams off the list for those who had playoff hopes. One of those teams are the Kansas City Chiefs who are officially eliminated in the AFC. To make matters worse, they’ve lost franchise QB, Patrick Mahomes to a torn ACL injury. How will this play out for KC moving forward? Also, the Packers suffered a potential season ending injury to their star LB Micah Parsons in a loss to Denver. I’ll bring you up to speed on all of the latest permutations in both conferences with three weeks to play.

(38:51) Indiana QB Fernando Mendoza is your Heisman Trophy winner in college football, winning by a large margin. But it was one of his fellow nominees that have a problem with the voters. 

(41:15) Oklahoma City finally lost a game. The San Antonio Spurs snapped a 16 game winning streak by beating the Thunder in the NBA Cup semifinals to face the Knicks in the Final tomorrow night. What does this mean for the Thunder as they are pursuing immortality? Dillon Brooks is at it again, mixing it up with LeBron James and getting ejected for his antics last night in Phoenix. Is this personal?

(54:05) There were two big trades in the NHL over the weekend where the Edmonton Oilers acquire a goalie (Tristan Jarry) and the Minnesota Wild obtain a defenseman (Quinn Hughes). Who got the better of the deal?

(1:01:24) The Mets pick up the pieces from a rough middle of last week to sign INF Jorge Polanco to play first base? Is this against what they stand for philosophically?

A busy few days of sports means a jam packed show for you kooks out there who can’t get enough of all that’s happening as the latest podcast has arrived. On deck:

(6:30) MLB’s hot stove has heated up, but so have the fans of the New York Mets as two of their key players (Edwin Diaz and Pete Alonso) have signed elsewhere. What is the plan that the front office has in store? Do the fans actually trust GM David Stearns and has the faith waned with the owner, Steve Cohen? I’ll check on what else has happened to date as the Winter Meetings conclude today.

(24:33) NFL Week 15 has some interesting games on the schedule. The big news is the return of QB Philip Rivers, who the Colts got out of retirement to help stop the bleeding of a losing streak and save their dying playoff hopes.

(37:00) Michigan football coach Sherrone Moore was terminated immediately for getting involved with a staff member, but was also arrested on an alleged assault charge. Where do they go for a replacement?

(41:51) Oklahoma City has matched the 2016 Warriors for the best start in NBA history. Will they end up breaking their record 73-9 when it’s all said and done?

(50:24) The NHL has been going about its business this year, laying low, but I’ll peek in to see what’s going on throughout the league.

October is starting to make its exit, but before we get to any trick or treats, I have something brewing that not even a witch would come up with as the latest podcast has all you can ever want for a sports fan. On deck:

(6:40) As the World Series is even after two games, will the Blue Jays find a way to produce another offensive uprising we saw in Game 1? Or will the Dodgers feast on home cooking to put themselves in a position to close the series out on home turf? Also, there’s a new sheriff in Baltimore and Bryce Harper gets called out by his own GM?

(21:36) It was another interesting week in the NFL which saw the Jets finally win in shocking fashion against the Bengals, even with the organization suffering a huge loss from the untimely death of former center Nick Mangold. The big story is the shift of the AFC which has Indianapolis, New England and Denver at the top of the conference with Kansas City, Baltimore & Houston on the outside of the playoff picture. Also, I’ll dive in on how disgraceful the Steelers were as the defense was a no-show when it really counted.

(48:13) The big news out of college football this weekend was the firing of LSU coach Brian Kelly. Was this move necessary at this point? Or did it come out of nowhere?

(53:53) If the NBA’s opening week is a sign of things to come, then they’ll have their best year ever. When Austin Reaves goes for 50, SGA scores a career high 55 in another double OT win and Victor Wembanyama puts up more video games number, what will the league do for an encore?

(1:01:38) On the ice, two teams are in the middle of torrid winning streak. One not surprising (New Jersey), one rather surprising (Utah).

With summer officially here, the sports universe will start to cool off a bit. But not too much to where I’ll have nothing to talk about. Ha! You know me, there’s always something to get off my chest when it comes to the world of competition as the latest podcast has arrived. On deck:

(7:26) Oklahoma City battles to their first ever NBA title. Where do they stack up against the all-time great teams? A dynasty in the making? Does the Game 7 win come with an asterisk because of Tyrese Haliburton’s injury? How do the Pacers recover from the loss of a tough series and their star point guard? Kevin Durant gets shipped to Houston for Jalen Green, Dillon Brooks and multiple draft picks. Is he the final piece to the Rockets championship puzzle? Can he be trusted to lead them to the promised land? Plus, some early thoughts about the NBA Draft which is Wednesday night.

(38:17) The biggest question in the NHL’s offseason is the future of Oilers superstar Connor McDavid. With one year left on his current deal, what’s the likelihood he stays with the only organization that he’s ever known? Or does he move on to greener pastures? Jonathan Toews goes back home to sign a one year deal with Winnipeg after a decorated career in Chicago. Plus, a couple of other transactions that took place over the weekend I’ll address.

(45:31) The Mets finally snap their seven game losing streak, but lose first place along the way in Philadelphia by closing out a 1-5 road trip. What’s next for the Amazin’s as they entertain the Braves for four games this week? Other MLB topics to discuss: Dodgers-Padres fallout with hits batsmen and suspensions. Brewers young stud, Jacob Misiorowski. Rafael Devers faces his former Red Sox teammates. Cal Raleigh’s raking home runs at a record pace in Seattle and much more.

On the eve of summer and today being Juneteenth, a change is on the horizon as the sports landscape is about to look a little different in the coming days. I’ll explain in detail as the latest podcast is here. On deck:

(6:34) With the hockey season already completed, the NBA has the stage to close out its Finals tonight as Oklahoma City looks to capture their first championship, while Indiana hopes to force a Game 7 with or without Tyrese Haliburton. How will Game 6 unfold? The Lakers are being sold for $10 billion dollars. LeBron James doesn’t understand ‘ring culture’ in the sport as he addressed it on his podcast. Do we need to remind him that he was a big part of that?

(24:31) The Florida Panthers repeat as Stanley Cup Champions with another dominant effort in Game 6 over the Edmonton Oilers. Is this team already considered a dynasty? Where do we go from here regarding Connor McDavid and the Oilers, losing a second straight Cup Finals?

(42:57) Baseball is on the verge of becoming the only major sport left. What’s going on with the New York teams as both the Yankees and Mets are mired in long losing streaks? The latter, is about to embark on a weekend road trip to Philadelphia for first place in the NL East. Are the Dodgers about to take off in the NL West after taking the first three games vs. the Padres and a chance for a four game sweep today?

Counting down to the official beginning of another season, the best season of the year…yes, that is summer. But coming at ya faster than that is the latest episode with a TON of stuff to uncover in the sports world. On deck:

(6:42) OKC showed what they were made of in Game 4 as SGA’s big fourth quarter ties the series at two. How will Game 5 and the rest of the Finals play out starting tonight? There was a huge trade in the Association as the Magic go all in on former Grizzlies guard Desmond Bane. Is he worth two players and four unprotected first round picks? Also, the Knicks head coaching search continues and where does Kevin Durant end up?

(27:17) The Florida Panthers are one win away from going back to back against the Edmonton Oilers. Not even a crushing Game 4 defeat will slow down the defending champs as they dominated Game 5 on the road. Will this series go back to Western Canada in Game 7? Or will the Panthers wrap up another championship?

(40:44) The saga between the Red Sox and Rafael Devers came to an abrupt end with the disgruntled DH getting shipped to San Francisco for two pitchers and prospects. Was this a good move by Boston? Does this make the Giants contenders in the NL? Plus, it was a lost weekend for the New York teams as they were both surprisingly swept. And Shohei Ohtani will make his Dodgers pitching debut vs. San Diego. What should we expect?

(57:35) After what was a US Open to forget, one player came up from the rubble to win the tournament. His name is JJ Spaun. I’ll recap what turned out to be a slog and a wet one at that as the third golf major of the year is already in the books.

They’ve won three in a row to increase their record to 12-50! Yankee reliever Luke Weaver is on the shelf for 4-6 weeks. How will manager Aaron Boone handle the back end of the bullpen?

As we get closer to the beginning of a new month, we can start to see the ending of two sports ready to move on to the next round and crown a champion. (44:43) Speaking of rematches, the Yankees will head into Dodger Stadium over the weekend as they’ll meet for the first time since LA captured the title in October last year. How will this series play out? Also, has Juan Soto hit rock bottom?

(1:00:23) Another big upset took place at the French Open this week as Daniil Medvedev lost in a thriller vs. Cameron Norrie. Plus, Alex DeMinaur calling for a shorter season? WHAT?!

We’re precisely a week away from the unofficial beginning of summer. Can you believe it? But we’re seconds away from the best sports podcast that covers EVERYTHING, that’s right, I said it. Why? And the Capitals fall way short of the Cup Finals after losing to the Hurricanes in five. I’ll preview Panthers-Hurricanes & Oilers-Stars and what Final would be the most attractive?

(54:59) Juan Soto’s return to The Bronx was forgetful as the Mets lose two out of three to the Yankees. The shocking Twins 13 game winning streak, which was snapped yesterday in Milwaukee. How about the Angels sweeping the Dodgers in LA? I’ll see what else is happening throughout the sport as Memorial Day looms next week.

(1:10:10) 49ers QB Brock Purdy signs a five year, $265 million dollar deal to stay in San Francisco. Is he worth it?

Back again to detail everything that’s going on in sports with your favorite little host to uncover it all as the latest podcast is here. On deck:

(6:36) NFL Week 15 has some five star matchups, including one in Philadelphia where the Steelers will come across the state to play the Eagles. There’s been some tension with the quarterback/wide receiver combo (Jalen Hurts & AJ Brown) or so it seemed as all is well at the moment between the two. I’ll discuss Bills vs. Lions and the impact this game could have when it comes to playoff seeding. Colts vs. Broncos is a low key solid contest as they’ll determine who’ll be in good position to clinch a playoff berth. Tonight, the Niners will look to hang on in the NFC playoff picture with an enormous game vs. the Rams. Besides that, the schedule doesn’t provide much as we now get into the final homestretch of the season. The NFL will go back to Germany for a regular season game next year, this time in Berlin. I’m sure you know how I feel about that.

(26:24) College football takes a pause this weekend (other than Army-Navy and the Heisman presentation on Saturday) as the twelve team playoff will commence next Friday. Some rather shocking news came down the pike last night as former Patriots coach, Bill Belichick, agreed to come on board and coach the North Carolina TarHeels. Did this come as a shock? What about the NFL/Don Shula’s record? How about the system as it’s currently constituted with the NIL & transfer portal? Also, the latest on Georgia QB Carson Beck’s elbow as he recovers from the injury he suffered in the SEC Championship Game. Will he play?

(38:05) MLB’s Winter Meetings concludes today with not much activity, but you did have two major deals to discuss. The Yankees sign LHP Max Fried to an eight year deal. Was this a rebound from being jilted by Juan Soto’s departure? The Red Sox got their ace as they traded for Garrett Crochet from the White Sox. Are there more moves that Boston needs to make? I’ll have to revisit Juan Soto’s signing as I couldn’t believe the backlash and vitriol by fans and celebrities alike, crucifying the former Yankee for leaving to Queens. Nolan Arenado wants out of St. Louis. Does he have anything left? Would I entertain the thought of bringing him onto my team?

(52:37) The NBA Cup has reached the semifinals with the Bucks, Hawks, Thunder and Rockets moving on. Although the Warriors were frustrated that they didn’t advance against Houston after a controversial foul called in the closing seconds which propelled the Rockets to seal the deal. Did Steve Kerr get robbed of a trip to Vegas? There have been reports that Heat guard Jimmy Butler has a list of teams he’d like to get dealt to. Which teams are on his radar? Will the Heat look to part with their star player?

(1:03:02) All is mostly quiet on the ice, but the Colorado Avalanche have a goaltending carousel to ensure stability at the position. They swapped backup goaltenders with another team less than two weeks ago. Now they procure San Jose net minder Mackenzie Blackwood to see if he’s the answer to cure their ills. I’ll look at the schedule over the weekend, including an interesting stretch for the first place Vegas Golden Knights over the next four days.

Can the Knicks or Sixers overtake the C’s in a top heavy Eastern Conference? A wide open and loaded West where the new guard, {OKC, MIN, NO, MEM & SAC} could rule the top of the conference over the old guard {LAL, GS, LAC, DEN & PHX) heading into tonight’s tip-off in Boston where the Celtics will raise Banner 18 to the TD Garden rafters. I’ll have my surprise and disappointment, over/unders and a prediction on who’ll raise the Lawrence O’Brien Trophy come mid-June. It’s wall to wall basketball for the casual or diehard fan who wants to get their fix on the upcoming campaign.
