With the month of May on the horizon, April promises to go out like a lion as there’s plenty to discuss throughout the sports landscape as the latest podcast has arrived. On deck:

(4:15) I can go in many different directions to kick off the the podcast, but I’ll start off with some intrigue in the NBA as the first round is taking shape. How will the Knicks fare after a rough two game stretch? Who’ll come out on top in the Raptors-Cavs series? Will the Pistons draw even and not fall into a 3-1 deficit? Can the Nuggets run the table with Anthony Edwards out for the T-wolves? I’ll take each matchup one by one and forecast how this’ll play out over the next few days.

(28:49) As for the NHL, it’s pretty cut and dry. Two teams have advanced (COL & CAR), three teams are up 3-1 (PHI, BUF, ANA) two are even (MIN-DAL, MTL-TB) and one series is heading into Game 4 with the Mammoth up on Vegas. Will there be any drama as these first round series come to a close?

(40:45) The Boston Red Sox have fired manager Alex Cora, to the chagrin of some players on the team. Will this be the jump start that the BoSox needed? And are two other managers (Mets Carlos Mendoza & Phillies Rob Thomson) next in line to go?

(56:46) The NFL Draft is in the books. I’ll share some takeaways, with the biggest one is how overrated are grades, winners and losers of the event. Also, should Mike Vrabel be suspended, or even terminated, for his behavior off the field with former Athletic writer, Diana Russini?

(1:18:10) Tennis takes a huge hit going into their second major Grand Slam tournament of the year next month as Carlos Alcaraz will sit out due to a wrist injury. How does that bode for the reigning #1 player in the world Jannik Sinner?

Fired up to usher in another podcast with all of the sports talk and analysis that you won’t get anywhere else. On deck:

(4:00) The NBA Playoffs have arrived. There were no surprises, other than the Magic winning in Detroit after drubbing the Hornets Friday night in the play-in game. Is this the beginning of the end for the Warriors after their loss in Phoenix. I’ll peep at the other Game 1’s over the weekend and set up what the schedule looks like for the remainder of the week.

(20:22) The same could be said for the NHL as the Stanley Cup Playoffs are underway. You had a couple of close calls in Colorado & Buffalo, but the one shocker was Montreal winning in Tampa to steal Game 1. I’ll take a look at the other series and check out what lies ahead for the week schedule wise.

(34:25) Is this Mets season over in April? It’s still too early to say, but it’s sure looking like it. I have lots to say on this topic, from the owner Steve Cohen, to getting rid of the GM David Stearns, the manager could be next in Carlos Mendoza, even SS Francisco Lindor had something to say, which I’ll certainly unpack. The Mets aren’t the only team that’s bad as there are several other top teams that have hit the skids over the weekend.

(57:54) NFL fans, the Draft is upon us. There was a big trade on Saturday where the Bengals traded their #10 overall pick to the Giants for DT Dexter Lawrence. Was the price tag too big?

April continues to sizzle in the sports world and it’s bound to get even hotter! Tune in to hear for yourself with all that’s happening as the latest podcast is here. On deck:

(1:00:25) Baseball has been buzzing over its excellent start. There have been a few teams that have come back to the pack and then some, in particular the Yankees, Mets and Astros as they’ve been scuffling of late.

As we get closer to the beginning of a new month, we can start to see the ending of two sports ready to move on to the next round and crown a champion. (44:43) Speaking of rematches, the Yankees will head into Dodger Stadium over the weekend as they’ll meet for the first time since LA captured the title in October last year. How will this series play out? Also, has Juan Soto hit rock bottom?

(1:00:23) Another big upset took place at the French Open this week as Daniil Medvedev lost in a thriller vs. Cameron Norrie. Plus, Alex DeMinaur calling for a shorter season? WHAT?!

We’re precisely a week away from the unofficial beginning of summer. Can you believe it? But we’re seconds away from the best sports podcast that covers EVERYTHING, that’s right, I said it. Why? And the Capitals fall way short of the Cup Finals after losing to the Hurricanes in five. I’ll preview Panthers-Hurricanes & Oilers-Stars and what Final would be the most attractive?

(54:59) Juan Soto’s return to The Bronx was forgetful as the Mets lose two out of three to the Yankees. The shocking Twins 13 game winning streak, which was snapped yesterday in Milwaukee. How about the Angels sweeping the Dodgers in LA? I’ll see what else is happening throughout the sport as Memorial Day looms next week.

(1:10:10) 49ers QB Brock Purdy signs a five year, $265 million dollar deal to stay in San Francisco. Is he worth it?

Wrapping up another month of high octane sports talk and a rant you won’t wanna miss as the latest podcast is here. On deck:

(4:10) One team has punched their ticket to the NBA Finals (Boston Celtics). We’re still waiting for the other as the Minnesota Timberwolves kept their season alive with a Game 4 win in Dallas? Will the T-wolves extend the series to six? Dare I say, seven games? I’ll recap the Celtics Game 4 win over Indiana as they’ll have a ten day layoff before the start of the Finals next Thursday.

(19:15) The Stanley Cup Conference Finals have a lot of juice as both series are even at two games apiece. First up, the Panthers clawed back to even the series with a pivotal Game 5 at MSG tonight. Who’ll end up as the East Champs as this could end up being a classic Final? Out West, the Edmonton Oilers continue their unpredictable march as they lost Game 3 after being up 2-0 in the first period. In Game 4, the Oilers came back from a 2-0 deficit to tie the series. What can we possibly expect from a team that is a chameleon from one game to the next? Could it go seven games?

(30:37) MLB has implemented the statistics from the Negro Leagues to be a part of baseball moving forward. Why I think that was the right thing for the sport to do? I’ll get into another strange interference call in last night’s Yankees-Angels game. And I’ll continue my assault from Monday’s podcast to put to rest the 2024 New York Mets. Who’s at fault? What do I think the front office, ownership should do to this underachieving, embarrassing team? It’s a rant that comes straight from the heart and gut being a diehard Met fan.

(55:01) #1 women’s player Iga Światek survived a scare from Naomi Osaka in the second round of the French Open as she came back from a 5-2 deficit in the third set to win 7-5. Was it fair for Osaka to meet Swiatek this early in the tournament?

(57:29) There’s a UFC lightweight championship at stake on Saturday night as Dustin Poirier will go up against Islam Makhachev. Is there a Poirier-Conor McGregor bout somewhere down the road?
