With the Cavaliers shocking the basketball world in a romp over the Pistons in Game 7 last night, do they have any shot to beat the Knicks in the East?

(33:59) Which team will show up tonight in Buffalo as the Canadiens and Sabres will play Game 7 with the road team winning the last three games. Also, are the Carolina Hurricanes going to be rusty after an eleven day layoff? I’ll preview the West Finals between Vegas vs. Colorado.

(44:49) The Mets did something that hadn’t been done in two years. I’ll explain what that was as they cap off a 5-1 homestand with the biggest win of the year to date, beating their cross town rivals and winning the first Subway Series of 2026.

(1:00:05) With the NFL schedule released on Thursday, I already have an issue with the first game, among other things. Plus, Aaron Rodgers is back in Pittsburgh for another year. How do I feel about that?

(1:07:40) Who is your PGA winner after what was, in my eyes, a very underwhelming Grand Slam tournament?

(1:12:19) Napoleon Solo wins the Preakness in what has become an afterthought for horse racing this year.

The sports world gears up for another huge weekend as I’ll detail all that’s taken place and what’s forthcoming as the latest podcast is here. On deck:

(3:55) Could it be that the Cleveland Cavaliers are on the verge of making the Eastern Conference Finals? Their stunning win in Game 5 showed that they maybe ready to take the next step. Will they do it? Or will Detroit have something to say about it and push this series to a seventh game? I’ll check in on whether or not San Antonio will close out their series vs. Minnesota tonight. GM Daryl Morey gets the axe in Philadelphia and a couple of sad deaths to report as both Grizzlies guard Brandon Clarke and former player Jason Collins have both passed away.

(23:30) The Colorado Avalanche have punched their ticket to the Western Conference Finals shocking the Minnesota Wild in an epic comeback. Who will they face? Same could be said in the East as the Carolina Hurricanes await the winner of the Buffalo-Montreal series. There’ll be a new coach in Toronto as Craig Berube was relieved from his duties.

(31:44) MLB has its rivalry weekend upcoming, which includes the first version of the Subway Series between the Yankees-Mets. 

(42:56) It’s NFL schedule release day. I’ll share what’s already been leaked as we get the full slate later on today.

(46:48) The second major in golf will commence today as the PGA Championship tees off outside of Philadelphia. Will last years’ winner Scottie Scheffler repeat?

(52:14) Horse racing takes a huge hit as Kentucky Derby winner Golden Tempo will not race in Saturday’s Preakness. Should anyone watch?

(55:18) Ronda Rousey makes her return to MMA as she’ll go at it with Gina Carano on Saturday night. How will this unfold?

With the 4th of July in our rearview mirror, it’s time to look ahead to see what the sports landscape has in store for us over the next hour or so as the latest podcast has arrived. On deck:

(6:30) The Yankees avoid a Subway Series sweep and a seven game losing streak as they salvage the final game at Citi Field. But the Bombers face another challenge to their starting rotation moving forward. Can the Mets close out the last week before the All Star Break against underachieving AL teams on the road? The Astros go into Dodger Stadium and sweep the defending champs. Plus, a housecleaning in DC and our first peek at the Wild Card standings throughout baseball.

The sports universe intensifies as we’ve hit the middle of May. I’m here to break it all down for you as the latest podcast is here. On deck:

The unofficial start of the second half of the baseball season is in full swing. There were more sparks off the field than on for the New York Mets. I'll recap the abbreviated Round 2 of the Subway Series, plus, what in the world happened in Metville over the weekend? Yoenis Cespedes has bum heels? That he's played with for FIFTEEN YEARS? With an EIGHT-TO-TEN month recovery process? Who did the Mets get in return for closer Jeurys Familia? Why couldn't they get higher prospects in return? Noah Syndergaard is going back on the disabled list for what? And that was all in a 48 hour timeframe!
