The 'Not Too High or Too Low' Theme From NFL Week 1, Except? Steelers 'Not Ready For Primetime', Mets 'Not Ready For Postseason' Tirades, MLB Wild Card Latest, Rafa Wins, Serena Loses AGAIN at US Open

I'm in a feisty, awful sports mood, so hide the women and children, because Episode 90 promises to be full of smoke and fire. On deck:

In fourteen NFL cities this morning, either they're setting up the Super Bowl parade route or ready to draft for the number one pick. But there are two excpetions. I'll explain. I'll also go around the league and assess the damage up in Foxborough as the Steelers no showed vs. the Patriots.

The Mets have put their postseason hopes in the trash after a brutal loss in Washington and losing two out of three vs. Philadelphia. Mickey Callaway may have seen his managerial position go out the window with some very questionable moves this week. I have plenty of ammunition on this and I'll also recap the latest in the AL & NL Wild Card races.

Rafael Nadal has inched closer in his quest to catch Roger Federer for most Mens' Grand Slam titles. Serena Williams has now lost back to back Wimbledon and US Open Finals as she's stuck on 23 Grand Slam victories. Hear my take on both legendary figures and what may lie ahead in 2020 now that the Tennis Slams are done for the year.

Plus, my Hero and Zero of the Week.

MLB's Wild Card Races Heat Up, Andrew Luck's Sudden Retirement, NFL Over/Unders, College Football Kickoff, US Open Tennis Preview

It's time to put the second Sports Dead Zone to rest as Episode 87 is revved up and ready to deliver what the sports universe has to offer. On deck:

The up-to-the-minute breakdown of the AL & NL Wild Card races, including the Mets squandering a chance to get closer to securing the second wild card spot. Also, the Yankees mash in LA as they continue their west coast trip.

Colts QB Andrew Luck has stepped away from game after his sudden retirement on Saturday. There has been a lot of backlash from critics and fans alike. Hear why I think they're crazy and need to keep quiet about Luck walking off into the sunset. I'll share my thoughts about the possible 'death of the NFL preseason' and take a look at the over/under win totals for 2019.

The college football season has kicked off a little earlier than usual, but the full slate begins this weekend. I'll tell you why this collegiate sport compares to recent NBA seasons. That's right. You'll be sure to want to hear this hot take.

Plus a US Open Tennis preview and my Hero and Zero of the Week.

NFL Bubble Teams After Week 11. Harbaugh's D-Day. NBA News. Miguel Andujar Robbed of AL ROY

As we head into Thanksgiving Week, there are plenty of football dishes to be served up as I’ll place them all around the sports table on this weeks edition of The JAYREELZ Podcast. It was another wacky, zany week in the NFL as we saw some separation between the pretenders and contenders. Teams that were already on the bubble (i.e. PHI, ATL, GB, JAX, even WSH, perhaps?) have put their seasons on the brink. Get my take on all that happened in Week 11, with a look to the Thanksgiving games and Week 12, plus, are the Saints/Rams and Chiefs shoo-ins for the Super Bowl? The College Football season is slowly coming to an end, but not before the highly anticipated matchup between Michigan vs. Ohio State. How big of a game is this for UM coach, Jim Harbaugh? What does this mean for his coaching legacy at Ann Arbor? I’ll dig in to that, and, get into what’s happening with the Golden State Warriors? Is Carmelo Anthony’s NBA career done? And why Miguel Andujar was robbed of the AL Rookie of the Year? It’s a sports feast that you won’t want to miss on the latest episode of The JAYREELZ Podcast. (Episode 40)

Jets Flop. What's Next? NFL Week 10, NBA News, MLB Hot Stove, NHL, Duke's Big 3

A jam packed show is on tap as I deliver all of what’s going on in the world of sports on this weeks edition of The JAYREELZ Podcast. The Jets season has now been put to rest after their deplorable effort against the lowly Buffalo Bills. The hot seat is burning as coach Todd Bowles is walking the plank to his potential departure, but there is a caveat? I’ll explain in great detail why leaving now doesn’t make sense, but the REAL reason he still may be coach of this team in 2019? I’ll go around the league to discuss another wild week in the NFL as the playoff picture starts to take a little shape ten weeks into the season. There’s plenty of NBA news to delve into, including Jimmy Butler moving on to Philadelphia, Carmelo Anthony jettisoned from Houston? Tyson Chandler igniting the Lakers to .500, also what’s going on with the Celtics? Plus, some news and notes on the NHL with the answer to an intriguing trivia question, Duke’s Big 3 with Zion Williamson leading the charge and why it’s WAY too early to mention an undefeated season. I’ll sprinkle in a few more things to chat about as well on this weeks’ episode of The JAYREELZ Podcast. (Episode 39)

Jets/NFL Week 9, Mets Hire New General Mgr./MLB News, NHL, NBA, Floyd Mayweather

The clocks are turned back. The days are shorter. Fall is in full swing and November has arrived as I deliver all that’s going on in the world of sports on this weeks edition of The JAYREELZ Podcast. It’s time to put the proverbial end of the 2018 NY Jets as they weren’t able to take flight down in South Florida vs. the Dolphins. There’s lots of blame to go around after their third straight loss drops them to 3-6 on the season. Is it time for Todd Bowles to be fired? Should Sam Darnold ride the pine after his four interception performance? I’ll answer those questions and go around the league in Week 8 to highlight the Saints stopping the Rams unbeaten season, players wanting to play in Oakland, says coach Jon Gruden? Also, the Texans march to a division title, the Steelers death knell to their archrivals and can the Falcons get back in the NFC playoff picture? I’ll analyze the comments made by new Mets GM Brodie Van Wagenen and what does it mean for the Amazins’ moving forward? Why I disapprove the Yankees bringing back Brett Gardner? Plus, the latest in the NHL (the Islanders hot streak, Cup hangover in Washington and Vegas?), the NBA (Jimmy Butler needs to go, Luke Walton on the hot seat in LA?) and thoughts about Floyd Mayweather’s upcoming fight in Japan? That’s right! All of that, plus much more, on this weeks episode of The JAYREELZ Podcast. (Episode 38)

We cap off an exciting October of sports and crown a baseball champion on this weeks edition of The JAYREELZ Podcast. The Boston Red Sox have won their fourth World Series title since 2004. I’ll delve into what it took for them to reach the MLB mountaintop and also dissect where it all went wrong for the Dodgers as they lose their second consecutive Fall Classic at home. I’ll also deep dive into what it must feel like for the Yankee fan the day after and where the rivalry next year could be headed between the two organizations. Plus, my thoughts on the Mets new GM, Brodie Van Wagenen and whether or not they made the right choice to take this team to the next level. I’ll recap all of Week 8 in the NFL, including the end of the 2018 Giants at the halfway point, with the Jets not that far behind. And insight on the debacle in Jacksonville, the Rams halfway to a perfect regular season and when Le’Veon Bell may come back to play with the Steelers. Don’t forget the week that was, and upcoming in college football, the NHL and what’s with all of these high scoring games in the NBA? Quite a bit to get into for your edification on this weeks episode of The JAYREELZ Podcast. (Episode 37)

You’ve come to the right place as I’ll deliver everything that’s cooking on the field, the diamond, court, etc. on this weeks edition of The JAYREELZ Podcast. The Jets were unable to get over the .500 mark as they lose to the Vikings at home. I’ll also take a trip around the league on yet another wild and wacky Week 7 and preview the Giants vs. Falcons Monday night matchup. The stage is set for the Fall Classic as the LA Dodgers will square off in Boston against the Red Sox. I’ll preview what this series may have in store and who’ll come out of it as champions of 2018. Jets/Giants/NFL Week 6, 2018 NY Yankees (RIP)/MLB Playoffs, College Football, NHL

The ides of October is delivering some thrilling sports action as I break it all down for you on the latest episode of The JAYREELZ Podcast. The Jets and Sam Darnold continue to impress as they’ve made it to .500 on the season with a win over Indianapolis. Meanwhile on the other side of the building, the hopes for this Giants season has gone down the drain as they suffer their fifth loss in six games at the hands of the Eagles. Hear my takes on both teams, as well as, recapping all that went down in Week 6 of the NFL, including the Steelers last second win in Cincinnati, the Jaguars D rocked in Dallas and the only remaining undefeated team in the league. The Yankees say goodbye to the 2018 season as they lose in four games to the Red Sox. What will it take for the Yanks to get over the hump? What changes can they expect? Will they focus on a starting pitcher? Or the rumors of Manny Machado will start to echo throughout baseball? Lots of answers that I’ll try to unpack, plus my thoughts on the AL & NLCS to date. I’ll also recap a topsy-turvy Week 7 in college football. A word on the first couple of weeks in the NHL. What about the NBA? Some news about the next podcast that has to do with the Association and much more, on this weeks edition of The JAYREELZ Podcast. (Episode 34)

Yanks/MLB Playoffs, Jets/Giants/NFL Week 5, College Football, NHL, MMA

A busy sports October is in full swing. I’m here to dissect it all on this weeks edition of The JAYREELZ Podcast. The Yankees have taken the momentum of the ALDS and the home field advantage versus their adversaries in Boston. I’ll point out what it’ll take to have the Bombers not go back to Beantown for a Game 5 and what needs to be done if you’re the Red Sox to extend the series to advance to the ALCS. Not to mention, a brief thought on the fans that invade the Stadium and the influence (good and bad) that they have during these playoff games. Plus, the rest of the MLB playoff landscape. The Jets get back in the win column as they punished the Denver Broncos on the ground, while the Giants leave Carolina in heartbreak as they lose on a last second 63 yard field goal. There’s lot to discuss about this Giant team, including Odell Beckham’s comments about the G-Men and a word on why the Giants need to push the offense to bigger heights, similar to what they did in yesterdays’ game. I’ll put a cap on Week 5 of the NFL with a look to Week 6. Plus, the latest in college football, the NHL ‘code’ (i.e. fighting, sending a message and discipline of their players in regards to what happened in the preseason.) and a brief mention of the MMA fight on Saturday and the aftermath of the Conor McGregor match. All of that, and then some on this weeks episode of The JAYREELZ Podcast. (Episode 33)

One of the best sports months of the year has arrived. I’m here to usher it in with fast and furious sports talk on the latest edition of The JAYREELZ Podcast. There are also two play-in games in the NL today as we’ll crown division winners in the Central and West. Plus, a playoff preview and World Series prediction on tap with a final word on David Wright, Jacob deGrom and the 2018 Mets. The NFL seasons for the Jets and Giants are slowly slipping away. Gang Green was overmatched in Jacksonville, while the Giants couldn’t muster much against the Saints. You’ll hear what I have to say about both squads (WARNING to Giant fans: It’s not going to be pretty) and roundup all of the crazy action of Week 4 in the NFL, including last nights’ debacle in Pittsburgh. If you think dissecting the Giants isn't going to be a pretty one, wait ‘till you hear what I have to say about the Steelers? Another NHL season is on the horizon. I’ll discuss the locals (Rangers, Islanders and Devils) and what they may have in store and make a prediction on who’ll play for the Stanley Cup next spring. Yankees/Mets/MLB Pennant Races, College Football, US Open

September ushers in a busy sports month and I'm here to dissect it all on the latest episode of The JAYREELZ Podcast. The Yankees are in the midst of a long west coast trip as they've struggled to gain ground against the division leading Boston Red Sox. Now, the Oakland A's are hot on their tail as they've won the first game of a three game set, which is putting pressure on the Bombers as they maintain the top spot in the wild card race. I'll get into all of the various scenarios regarding the Yankees as they head into the final month of the AL pennant chase. As for the Mets, three things that'll be discussed are as follows. Jacob deGrom's Cy Young candidacy, David Wright's possible return and 1B Peter Alonso not being called up to the big team after a huge year in AAA. Plus, an up to the second recap on the AL & NL pennant races going on in the MLB. I'll take a look back at Week 1 of the college football weekend, where Notre Dame, LSU and Virginia Tech looked dominant in the primetime games the past few nights. Also, an update on the US Open Tennis Tournament as it enters its final week. Where's the NFL talk, you say? Stay tuned as I'll make an announcement on what to expect for my big 2018 NFL season podcast that you won't want to miss. You'll get all of that on this weeks' edition of The JAYREELZ Podcast.
