The pomp and circumstance of the holidays have come and gone. The New Year is in full swing. It’s time to get to work and start off a huge year for yours truly with the first podcast of 2026! On deck:

(6:41) I start off with a ‘thank you’ to my Day One’s or my First Day finding the YouTube channel/podcast and being a part of it. There’ll be plenty of content coming down the pike in the days, weeks, months and 2026 overall, so stay tuned.

(9:43) You couldn’t have scripted a better ending to the NFL regular season. Two rivals. Win or go home. How did it all shake down in Pittsburgh as the Ravens were this close from winning the AFC North? I’ll have a complete breakdown of a wild game, take a look at what the rest of the weekend had to offer (I.e. Are the Seahawks the team to beat in the NFC?) a peek at the Wild Card schedule as it’ll kick off in Carolina on Saturday.

(35:46) The final four in college football is set as the semifinals will pick up later this week. The quarterfinals weren’t much to write home about as I’ll recap the four quarterfinals games on New Year’s Eve and Day. Is Indiana a shoo-in to win the National Championship?

(46:44) Nikola Jokic suffered a significant knee injury, but will be sidelined for a month. How crucial is that for the Nuggets and the rest of the NBA?

(53:09) I’ll see what the college basketball landscape is up to as conference play is well underway.

(54:11) The NHL Winter Classic was far from it down in Miami between the Rangers-Panthers. Also, Colorado is on pace to smash the all time record for points in the regular season. Will they accomplish it?

(1:01:34) Five weeks from Wednesday, pitchers and catchers will start reporting in MLB. Still no word on where the big name free agents will be going? Does this have to do with the impending expiration of the CBA?

No more egg nog, Mariah Carey or unwrapping gifts. With Christmas behind us and a big New Year’s Eve forthcoming, right now it’s about catching you up on all that’s happening in the sports universe. On deck:

(41:00) Is top ranked Indiana under the most pressure to win the college football playoff? I’ll have the top storylines and breakdown the quarterfinals as it picks up on New Year’s Eve.

(51:14) Are the Knicks the best team in the East? Is San Antonio already an elite team? Trouble brewing in LA with the Lakers? I’ll answer all of those questions and take a look at what’s happening in the Association this week.

(1:01:37) The NHL Winter Classic is set for Friday in primetime. It’ll be in the home of the Miami Marlins as the New York Rangers will face off against the Florida Panthers. Is it possible that one of their key players could be in uniform for the game?

The final month has arrived to start off a new week as I get reacquainted with you all on everything happening in sports as the latest podcast has arrived. On deck:

(6:38) I’ll share what yours truly has been up to over the past two weeks as the podcast (and livestreams) have been on a bit of a pause. I’ll explain it all and what lies ahead for the rest of the week and next.

(9:55) Two teams in the NFL South divisions (Panthers & Texans) are making a play for a potential playoff spot in their respective conferences. Are the Chiefs or Lions in jeopardy of missing the postseason? What about the Cowboys? Can the Bears keep the #1 seed in the NFC? Will the Eagles bounce back? Is it time for the Steelers to move on from Mike Tomlin? Was the Bills win over Pittsburgh fool’s gold? I’ll have the entire picture of where we’re at in the NFL as Week 13 comes to a close.

(39:43) College football Saturday turned out to be a major disappointment. Even more disappointing was Lane Kiffin leaving Ole Miss for LSU. I’ll break down his departure and the whole landscape of the sport as to which teams could qualify for the college football playoff.

(48:33) With the NBA Cup set for next week, there are three big storylines (Lakers, Pistons and Thunder) in the NBA at the quarter pole of the year.

(53:21) The Colorado Avalanche have shown to be the best team in the NHL with just one regulation loss so far this season as I’ll review what’s happening on the ice.

(55:37) You’ll get my instant reaction on the Mets signing former Yankee reliever Devin Williams to a three year deal. It’s a spot that you won’t want to miss, plus, what’s the hullabaloo with Francisco Lindor and Juan Soto at odds. I’ll detail a few of the moves that have taken place with the Winter Meetings commencing in Orlando on Sunday.

Closing out November with an extended podcast (since I’ll take off Thursday to celebrate the holiday) but don’t despair, I’ll have plenty of courses to fill your sports appetite as the latest program is coming at ya. On deck:

(6:30) There’s no secret as college football has had a tremendous season to date, therefore needing to apologize for my prediction set a month ago. You had FIVE teams in the top 16 lose which turned the landscape of the playoff upside down. Some of the big themes that I’ll unpack. Indiana wasn’t ready to swim in the deep end of the pool as they lost to Ohio State. Do they have what it takes to qualify or make some noise in the playoff? The SEC was a huge part of how topsy turvy Saturday was. Alabama gets whacked at Oklahoma. Are they done? Texas A&M is defeated in four OT’s vs. Auburn. Do they still have a shot to get in the tournament? Ole Miss suffers a crushing loss with two late interceptions at Florida which jeopardizes their chances of a playoff. Also, BYU & Colorado lost tough games on the road where they may not make the top 12 when it’s all said and done. I’ll even preview the schedule over the holiday weekend and tell you which teams are in and out at the moment.

(28:34) NFL Week 12 had its moments, but overall wasn’t a great Sunday. Kansas City had to sweat out a win in regulation vs. the lowly Carolina Panthers on the road. Is there cause for concern regarding the two time defending champs? The Eagles are in flight behind the heroics of Saquon Barkley and his 300 yard plus performance from scrimmage. Has Barkley thrusted himself to the top of the MVP mix? Are the Washington Commanders starting to fade in the NFC East? They lost a brutal game to Dallas after a miraculous TD with seconds to go was spoiled by a missed extra point that would’ve tied the game. And what about the NFC West? Seattle is now tied with the Arizona Cardinals, but have the head to head advantage to control their own destiny at the moment. I’ll review all that’s taken place (including a not so shocking letdown in Cleveland by the Steelers) and peek at the Week 13 schedule to set you up for Thanksgiving through Monday night.

(57:38) The NBA is off in the clouds just a month into their season. I have a thought on how the Spurs have played recently and how important will it be for them to clinch a playoff spot down the road. I’ll recap who’s done well and who’s been scuffling and the upcoming schedule over the next seven days.

(1:03:16) Alexander Ovechkin will be out of the lineup for 4-6 weeks with a fractured fibula that he sustained vs. Utah last week. How does this hamper him in his quest to top Wayne Gretzky for the all time goal scoring lead in NHL history? Sidney Crosby achieves another milestone by becoming the 21st player in history with 600 goals. And there’s a new coach in St. Louis. To a sports fans surprise, the replacement is one who was just released from his position last week, in a one Jim Montgomery of the Boston Bruins. The forthcoming week has a lot of great matchups that I’ll uncover for your edification.

(1:12:07) MLB’s hot stove has been rather chilly. There were a couple of transactions that hasn’t moved the needle (Reds-Royals trade and Yusei Kikuchi signs with LAA) as the Winter Meetings are two weeks away.
