A huge sports week has been unlocked. I’m here to tell you all about it as the latest podcast is here. On deck:

(6:31) A gambling scandal has come about in the NBA involving a current head coach (Blazers Chauncey Billups) which has sent shockwaves throughout the league. It’s a developing story, but what will the outcome be for the head coach and Terry Rozier, the Miami Heat player also connected to another gambling scandal as well.

(19:34) The Fall Classic in MLB is set. The Dodgers and Blue Jays will battle it out to see who’ll be this years champion. I’ll have some interesting storylines leading up to first pitch, but also look back on a Game 7 in the ALCS where the Mariners lost their chance at playing in the World Series and the player who’s known for clutch hits in October.

(45:54) NFL Week 8 is looking rather quiet on and off the field as the schedule this weekend isn’t setting the gridiron on fire.

(51:53) The same could be said in college football as Week 9 doesn’t have much as far as competitive games on the docket.

(54:57) The NBA is back! Just a couple of days into the season and there’s one player who’s already made an impact. Why Spurs Victor Wembanyama is the most important player in the NBA this year? Plus, are the Knicks a shoo in to make the Finals this year?

(1:05:51) There are a few teams making some waves in the NHL, just two weeks into their season. Will they be here to stay? Or is it too early to tell?

And MUCH MORE in between.

Uncut, unfiltered, unedited true sports talk without the pomp and circumstance, clickbait and filler that’s out there. You’re here for a reason, so kick back, listen and watch for yourself as the latest podcast has arrived. On deck:

(6:47) We’ll have a Game 7 in the ALCS as the Blue Jays erase 2-0 & 3-2 deficits for a winner take all trip to the World Series. Will Toronto seal the deal? Or will the Mariners punch their first ever ticket to the Fall Classic? Waiting for them are the defending champion Dodgers. After a sweep against the Brewers, is it an automatic that they’ll go back to back? And how about Shohei Ohtani’s tour de force Game 4? Is he this generation’s Babe Ruth?

(28:27) The two big questions that I have from NFL Week 7. Who’s to blame for the Giants meltdown in Denver? The head coach? Or a defense that gave up 33 points in the fourth quarter? And are the Colts for real at 6-1? I’ll check the rest of the schedule as we’re a third of the way into the season.

(43:56) It was a wild college football weekend with plenty of big teams losing (Miami, Texas Tech, Ole Miss, Tennessee, for starters) a head coach gets an extension (Indiana’s Curt Cignetti) and a coach gets fired (Florida’s Billy Napier).

(52:47) The NBA tips off tomorrow night as I’ll check in on the over/under win totals for the season, as well as, the schedule over the next two days and Kevin Durant’s new deal in Houston.

(58:54) There are a couple of surprises in the NHL as I’ll detail the latest from around the ice just two weeks into their year.

And MUCH MORE in between.

The leaves are changing, the air is a little cooler, the sweatshirts and jackets have been dusted off, but the intensity and passion remains the same when it comes to listening to yours truly as I uncover all that’s happening in sports. On deck:

(6:35) The Blue Jays get off the mat in the ALCS with an offensive outburst in Seattle to get back in the series vs. the Mariners. Can they tie it or at least get back to Toronto for a Game 6? Meanwhile, the Dodgers are up 2-0 on the Brewers as they look to get back to another World Series. Is it a foregone conclusion that they’ll do so and win it all in consecutive years?

(28:04) NFL Week 7 kicks off in Cincinnati tonight where the Steelers will visit the Queen City. Have things broken right for Pittsburgh to possibly have a long playoff run? Also, how wide open is it throughout the league with no clear cut favorite to get to a Super Bowl?

(42:30) College football makes the turn toward the second half of their season as teams will jockey position for the right to get to the playoffs in late December. I’ll survey the landscape to see where we’re at and check in on Saturday’s schedule.

(53:33) The NHL is just a little over a week into their campaign. The Rangers have done something that no other team has done in almost 100 years.

(1:00:18) Don’t blink because the NBA will tip off this coming Tuesday as another season is on the horizon. I’ll see what’s the latest on the hardwood as teams get set for another marathon towards the playoffs next April.

It’s time to uncover the weekend and beyond of what’s taking place and what’s forthcoming when it comes to what’s between the white lines in the world of sports as the latest podcast has arrived. On deck:

(6:37) Baseball is now one step closer to a World Series as the League Championship Series have begun in the AL, with the NL to follow tonight. Are the Mariners destined to get to their first ever Fall Classic? After winning Game 1 vs. Toronto, you’d have to say it could be the case. I’ll preview the NLCS between the Dodgers-Brewers. Does Milwaukee have a psychological advantage after taking all six games from LA during the regular season? I’ll share what my best World Series matchup would be? And sadly touch on the passing of former Red Sox OF Mike Greenwell who passed away at 62.

(35:06) It was a rather ho-hum NFL Week 6, but the big storyline from yesterday are the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Are they a legit Super Bowl contender? I’ll check on what else transpired yesterday as the season is a third of the way into their schedule.

(49:12) I have to shut up about Indiana Hoosier football. They impressed by winning at Oregon and finally beat a team of high ilk. Will this continue? As for a team that was expected to be back in the college football playoff, things have gone south at Penn State as they’ve lost three in a row and fired their head coach, James Franklin. Was it premature? Or was now the right time?

(58:51) LeBron James will be sidelined for 3-4 weeks with a sciatica issue. How will this impact the Lakers as the season commences a week from tomorrow? Congratulations to the Las Vegas Aces who swept the Phoenix Mercury en route to their third title in four years.

(1:03:27) Almost a week into the NHL season, there are a few things to discuss (Panthers off to 3-0 start. Same for the Bruins. Glowing reviews of Islanders #1 overall pick, Matthew Schaefer)

It’s a great day to celebrate as I get set to uncover all that’s going on in the world of sports as the latest podcast is here. On deck:

(6:21) Both the AL & NLDS has some life as baseball should take us into the weekend with some drama. The Phillies get off the deck and stave off elimination in LA, while the Cubs to the same against Milwaukee. Will they push their respective series to a fifth game? There’ll be a fifth game in Seattle as the Tigers even up the best of five with Tarik Skubal trying to get his team to the ALCS. Meanwhile, the Blue Jays have punched their ticket to the next round by defeating the Yankees three games to one, which means a happy Yankee postmortem is forthcoming to start the podcast.

(40:12) NFL Week 6 is so-so with a few good matchups to chew on. Can we please stop showing the Chiefs on national TV. I know why they do so, but still.

(45:52) College football Week 7 actually looks better than the pros as I’ll break down what to watch for, especially Indiana showing if they belong against Oregon.

(49:34) The NHL season is underway, but the buzz surrounding a certain superstar moving on from his current team has been put to rest.

(54:21) With the NBA tipping off in a week and a half, Giannis Antetokounmpo had a few things to say about him staying or leaving from Milwaukee. Did you get fooled by LeBron James’s ‘second’ decision? The WNBA season is coming to a close as the Las Vegas Aces are one game away from another title.

A busy sports weekend has me all pumped up and ready to dish out some cheers and jeers on everything that’s transpired and what’s to come as the latest podcast has arrived. On deck:

(6:50) Are the Blue Jays & Brewers on a mission? Can the Phillies erase a thrilling comeback by the Dodgers and tie their series at 1-1? Did the Mariners escape a conundrum by getting even vs. the Tigers late in Game 2? All of those questions will be answered as the MLB Division Series starts off with a bang.

(32:00) There are no more unbeaten teams in the NFL as both the Eagles and Bills were upset at home. We’re still waiting for one more team to win their first game of the season. Any idea who that would be as I’ll recap NFL Week 5? How about that bizarre story regarding Mark Sanchez getting stabbed AND arrested in Indianapolis on Friday night?

(56:21) Penn State and Texas not only fall out of the top 25 with inexplicable road losses, but what are their chances of making the college football playoffs?

(1:01:24) We’re on the eve of another NHL season, but not before I take a peek at the over/under win totals for the year.

(1:08:50) The fallout of Napheesa Collier’s comments directed toward the WNBA commissioner, Cathy Englebert’s ‘worst leadership’ in the sport, while the Aces are halfway to another championship.

(1:12:19) Alex Pereira takes back the light heavyweight title from Magomed Ankalaev Saturday night at UFC 320.

October is here. Which means it’s time to begin new seasons, in the middle of a couple of others and the conclusion of another where there’ll be lots of scrutiny, attention and intrigue. I’ll have it all for you right here as the latest podcast has arrived. On deck:

(6:48) MLB will have the first ever trio of Game 3’s in the wild card round. I’ll breakdown how we got here, who will possibly move onto the Division Series and highlight the storylines involving the four teams (Milwaukee, Philadelphia, Toronto & Seattle) as play will commence on Saturday.

(39:18) NFL Week 5 kicks off with an NFC West battle between division rival San Francisco vs. LA Rams. As for the rest of the schedule? It’s actually pretty light. Also, the Browns have benched Joe Flacco with rookie QB Dillon Gabriel being promoted to starter. Do we really have to monitor when Shedeur Sanders may be able to play?

(52:14) Nothing much is brewing on the college football schedule as Week 6 is upon us.

(54:50) Minnesota Wild sniper Kirill Kaprizov is now the highest paid player in the history of the NHL as the season begins on Tuesday? If he’s worth that much, what is free agent to possibly be Connor McDavid’s asking price?

(59:32) The WNBA Finals are set as Las Vegas will face Phoenix starting tomorrow night. The bigger story is how one of its top players (and WNBA vice president of players, Napheesa Collier) has called out the commissioner, Cathy Engelbert, for displaying the ‘worst leadership’ in sports. Is she in danger of losing her job? Was Collier out of line for publicly expressing herself?

(1:10:38) Warriors forward Jonathan Kuminga signs a two year deal after a stalemate between he and the team throughout the summer. Is the hatchet buried? Or is there a possibility that something else could be brewing down the road?

And MUCH MORE in between.

It’s almost time to say goodbye to September, but not before I get puh-lenty off my chest as the sports world has me cranky, tight and down right pissed off as the latest podcast has arrived. On deck:

(6:55) Sending another reminder to please check out my Shea Stadium vlog, reliving the good, bad and ugly of the great events that took place on that real estate. If you haven’t subscribed, please do so as it’ll increase the visibility of the channel for those who aren’t aware of it. Also, I send an apology on some of the sports that I didn’t fully invest over the weekend as I’ll share my reasons why.

(10:12) The MLB marathon of a season is complete as the Wild Card round is set for tomorrow. One team that didn’t cross the finish line and qualify for the playoffs are the NY Mets. I’ll unpack their demise and future and preview the matchups to see who’ll advance to the Division Series in each league.

(51:57) Are the Baltimore Ravens is serious trouble? Not only are they 1-3, but they could be without Lamar Jackson for the foreseeable future. Plus, all of the Week 4 schedule as I’ll recap what took place. I wondering how people are feeling about Bad Bunny being the Super Bowl Halftime Act?

(1:09:39) Penn State yet again, shows why they’re paper Lions in another rough defeat at home to the Oregon Ducks. While Alabama pulls off a stunning upset vs. Georgia who hadn’t lost at home in six years.

(1:14:51) There was a bludgeoning out on the golf course at Bethpage Black for the Ryder Cup. USA were undressed and embarrassed by the Europeans in a big way as they went on to win on American soil. And don’t get me started on the fans atrocious behavior.

(1:22:52) A big regular season for the Minnesota Lynx gets flushed in Phoenix as the Mercury pull off the shocking upset in the WNBA semifinals. How did it get to this point?

(1:25:03) A major injury involving the captain of the two time defending Stanley Cup champs that could derail a possible three peat with the season just over a week from commencing.

And MUCH MORE in between.

Just a few more days remain of September, which means the sports world is ready to kick it up a notch, which also means so is the latest podcast. On deck:

(6:40) A quick housekeeping note as I’ll release my latest vlog on the YouTube channel, reliving and remembering Shea Stadium. If you’ve watched my video regarding the old Yankee Stadium, then you’ll definitely love this one. Please show the channel some love by subscribing, like and leave a comment. I’d really appreciate it.

(7:42) How have the Tigers fallen from AL powerhouse to scratching and clawing just to qualify for the MLB playoffs? While the Mets are doing the same in the NL with just four games to go? I’ll unpack their plights and will they survive to see another postseason? Are the Yankees going to end up winning the AL East? Let the drama begins as the final weekend of the MLB season is almost here.

(35:18) NFL Week 4 has excellent games in every window (PHI-TB at 1pm, BAL-KC at 4:25 & GB-DAL at 8:20) with the first international game set at 9:30am ET (MIN-PIT), but not much else. Also, a change at QB in NY has the Jaxson Dart era commencing earlier than expected. Is this a panic move from the head coach, Brian Daboll?

(47:58) College football has three big games upcoming, but why is Alabama-Georgia and Oregon-Penn State on simultaneously in primetime?

(51:30) The WNBA playoffs have been entertaining to date. Now you have the Phoenix Mercury making it a series against the heavily favored Minnesota Lynx, tied at 1-1. Plus, how can you justify firing a head coach not even one year removed from winning at title. That’s what the Liberty did to Sandy Brondello. I also squeeze in an NBA point on Fred VanVleet tearing his ACL and what that does for the Houston Rockets this season?

(1:00:43) A highly anticipated Ryder Cup is on the docket this weekend out at Bethpage Black in Farmingdale, NY. I’ll preview how close this golf tournament could be and who has the upper hand heading into the match beginning Friday.

And MUCH MORE in between.

A new season is here as autumn enters into our consciousness. Before you dust off the boots, jackets, hoodies and the like, pump up the volume to get your fill on everything that’s happening in sports as the latest podcast have arrived. On deck:

(6:46) Some housekeeping as I address the release of the next vlog regarding the grounds of the Mets & Jets former home, Shea Stadium.

(8:44) We’re down to the final week of the MLB season. There have been a turn of events for the teams that play in Houston, Detroit and Flushing (Mets). Are all three teams in danger of missing the postseason altogether after a disastrous weekend? This is a segment you won’t want to miss as I’ll dissect what to watch for as we get set for a riveting seven days ahead.

(31:32) It was another wild NFL Sunday as the Packers surprisingly go down in Cleveland. The Eagles show why they’re defending champs in a come from behind victory over the Rams. What is going on with the Colts? And is it time for Jaxson Dart to start as the Giants are 0-3? I’ll peruse the Week 3 schedule to see what else happened over the course of yesterday’s action.

(46:44) Are the #17 ranked Indiana Hoosiers for real? They routed #9 Illinois and have their sights on back to back playoff appearances. I’ll push back on the thought and peek at what else took place in college football on Saturday.

(54:04) If the end of the first round of the WNBA playoffs was exciting, wait til you hear what happened as a big upset kicked off the semifinal round.

(58:04) With the NHL exhibition season underway, there’s a sad story coming out of Philadelphia as Flyer goaltending great, Bernie Parent passed away at the age of 80.

As the summer season starts to go off into the sunset, the latest podcast will rise with plenty of topics to discuss. On deck:

(6:28) With eleven days to go in the baseball season, the Mets are still hanging on to the final wild card spot in the NL. While an enormous series will take place in Houston over the weekend as the Mariners invade the Astros ballpark in a battle for the AL West division lead. I’ll bring you up to speed on all that’s happening, including how my over/under win totals look like for the season at the juncture.

(29:55) There have been a rash of injuries throughout the NFL with two big QB’s out (JJ McCarthy & Joe Burrow). The Week 3 schedule is looking rather light, but you have a big Monday night game (Lions at Ravens) and a NFC Divisional Round rematch from last year which should live up to the billing (Rams at Eagles). I’ll check in on what else is going on throughout the league as well.

(43:56) College football Saturday looks ok, not great, when it comes to the schedule. Are you geeked up over Texas Tech-Utah? Michigan-Nebraska? Florida-Miami? Illinois-Indiana?

(47:39) The WNBA playoffs are underway with the first round coming to a close. I’ll update you on who’s advanced and who’s left in the first round as the semifinals will begin on Sunday.

(51:07) Some quick NHL notes as Matthew Tkachuk is out until December recovering from hernia/adductor surgery. And the sad passing of former Rangers goalie, Eddie Giacomin.

Already the middle of September as I uncover all of what’s taken place and what lies ahead in the sports universe as the latest podcast has arrived. On deck:

(6:36) Baseball is down to its final two weeks of the season. The Brewers have clinched a playoff spot. The Mariners have passed the Astros for the AL West division lead. The Mets snap a long losing streak with a much needed win in the NL Wild Card race. I’ll bring you up to speed with all that’s going on in the chase to the postseason.

(29:22) NFL Week 2 did not disappoint. Wild finishes in Dallas and Indianapolis. A ho-hum Super Bowl rematch in Kansas City. A special teams blunder that the league will soon not forget in Pittsburgh are some of the stories I’ll touch on with a Monday night doubleheader on tap.

(55:53) Can Notre Dame fight back into the discussion of the college football playoff after another loss puts them at 0-2? There were some other good games throughout the schedule on Saturday which I’ll run down.

(1:04:34) Terence Crawford is now the undisputed super middleweight champion, doing it in historic fashion over Canelo Alvarez on Saturday night. But there’s even a bigger problem for those who tried to witness this bout which must be fixed.

(1:12:05) The WNBA Playoffs are underway as all four series began yesterday. I’ll share a thought on what the first games have shown us and how it could possibly play out over the next week or so.

And MUCH MORE in between.

Delivering the latest podcast on a day that this country will remember forever, squeezing a dose of reality and what we enjoy as sports fans simultaneously. On deck:

(6:40) Remembering the events of 9/11 as someone who was near the site of the World Trade Center 24 years ago today.

(17:21) Are the Mets in danger of missing the postseason, despite the fact that they control their own destiny? I’ll uncover what has gone wrong and why Met fans should be worried, but also cautiously optimistic simultaneously? I’ll see what else is happening throughout the sport as what I thought would be a sleepy September is turning out to be an eventful one for MLB.

(38:07) NFL Week 2 has a Super Bowl rematch as the Chiefs need to bounce back in a big way after not just losing in the opening week, but to erase the bad taste of getting embarrassed in the big game to the Eagles. I’ll check in on the rest of the schedule and what to watch for this weekend.

(49:24) College football picks up after a not so good Saturday last week. I’ll see what’s on tap for the third week in the sport.

(52:15) A new NBA rule was announced, which made sense at first, until it didn’t? Plus, the WNBA playoffs will tip off on Saturday. I’ll do my best to preview what to look out for in the coming weeks.

(1:01:22) A big time scorer in the NHL turns down the biggest deal in league history. It’s not who you think, but how will that impact the player who you think it is?

(1:04:49) Boxing will have their night on Saturday as Canelo Alvarez will fight Terence Crawford for the super middleweight championship. Any idea why this bout isn’t getting the love that it deserves?

And MUCH MORE in between.

Coming out of the blocks with a jam packed, fast paced, unapologetic and unedited hour plus of sports talk, ALWAYS with more substance than style. On deck:

(6:32) It’s time to overreact to what took place over the course of NFL Week 1. Are the Bills the class of the AFC? Is Aaron Rodgers turning back the clock? Have the Chiefs plight begun? How bad was the Ravens collapse in Buffalo last night? I’ll answer all of that and then some as I’ll recap the opening weekend. CORRECTION: I stated that the Falcons got out to a 10-0 lead in their game vs. Tampa Bay. That was not the case. I was wrong on that. My apologies for the blatant error.

(31:08) Was there baseball played over the weekend? Of course there was, but you couldn’t tell by the AL Wild Card race as it’s literally status quo from the last time we saw it late last week. I’ll also touch on the death of former Mets manager Davey Johnson who passed away at the age of 82.

(42:22) College football had a couple of surprising upsets on Saturday, but it was Oklahoma QB John Mateer stealing the show from the Michigan as they topped the Wolverines in Norman, OK.

(45:01) Carlos Alcaraz captures the rubber match of Grand Slam finals from rival, Jannik Sinner in 2025, and claiming the #1 men’s player in the world after a convincing four set win. Aryna Sabalenka wins the women’s side after coming close at the French Open and Wimbledon.

(51:21) Sadly, another passing took place in sports as former Montreal Canadien and all time great goaltender, Ken Dryden dies at 78.

And MUCH MORE in between.

(6:32) Highlighting another milestone for the podcast, thanking you all for those who support me and this accomplishment over the past seven and a half years.

(8:53) The NFL season is here. I’ll unpack the most intriguing storylines of the Week 1 schedule to prepare you for the upcoming season.

(27:27) It’s been a wild couple of days in the American League as the Yankees-Astros have been embroiled in a wild first couple of games, surrounding Framber Valdez’s did he or didn’t he pitch selection and Devin Williams imploding yet again! And is there a race in the Wild Card as a few teams have made a charge at the Seattle Mariners for the final spot?

(42:00) College football had a great start to their season last week. What do they do for an encore in Week 2?

(46:03) The US Open has been anything but stellar over the past week and a half. Will it turn on a dime over the next few days with Naomi Osaka leading the way?

(56:28) Is Clippers owner Steve Ballmer trying to circumvent the salary cap after a report is unfolding about Kawhi Leonard’s involvement in getting paid through an environmental company that’s gone bankrupt?

A new day. A new week. A new month. A new season on the horizon. An anniversary of sorts. And another milestone to check off. It’s going to be that type of week for the podcast as I uncover all of what’s happening in sports and then some. On deck:

(6:29) I have some housekeeping to share as the 2025 NFL Preview will be on my Wednesday Livestream on YouTube (12pm ET) An anniversary of sorts (7.5 years and still going) with another milestone forthcoming (600th episode on Thursday) Please subscribe on my YouTube channel (at JAYREELZ) for plenty of content in the coming days, weeks, months, etc.

(9:05) Baseball’s playoff chase is looking anything but as September rolls in with the same old song and dance that I’ve been preaching for weeks. I’ll see if there’s absolutely anything that I can touch on that could change the landscape over the next week or so

(21:36) College football got off to a tremendous start in its first week, but not if you’re Arch Manning at Texas, Alabama, Cade Klubnik at Clemson or Notre Dame.

(35:36) I’ll unpack the cold, hard truths for both the Cowboys and Packers in the aftermath of the Micah Parsons trade to Green Bay. But the Cowboys did sign DB DeRon Bland to an extension.

(45:43) Week two of the US Open gets underway with an excellent match between Naomi Osaka-Coco Gauff. How will both the men’s & women’s side play out over the next seven days? CORRECTION: I referred to Coco Gauff’s match with Donna Vekic as a GOLF match at the end of this segment. Obviously, a terrible error on my part. My apologies for the slip up.

(55:50) Some brief talk about the Lynx clinching home court of the WNBA playoffs and how will the Liberty perform if their top guns are back, healthy and at full strength?

With the holiday weekend upon us, the final podcast of August promises to keep you on top of all that’s happening in the sports universe. On deck:

(6:28) Are the Mets on the verge of chasing the Phillies in the NL East after a three game sweep at Citi Field? It’s beginning to look like a boring September when it comes to playoff races, as it could be a quiet last month of the baseball season.

(25:56) Terry McLaurin gets the deal he’s been searching down in DC with the Commanders. Same for Trey Hendrickson in Cincinnati. Will the same be said for Cowboys pass rusher Micah Parsons before the season opener next Thursday?

(30:34) College football is back! The schedule begins in earnest tonight, but all eyes are on Columbus as the Texas Longhorns will face Ohio State on Saturday. Why this game is important for QB Arch Manning to beat the defending champs?

(40:27) Were the Knicks this close to hiring Dawn Staley as their head coach? The South Carolina coach blames herself as she explains why she’s not at the helm in New York.

(46:54) Don’t look now, but the Las Vegas Aces are showing why they are a team to be reckoned with come playoff time in the WNBA?

(51:39) All has been mostly quiet at the US Open this week, despite an early exit by a top player on the women’s side.

Counting down the days until the unofficial ending of summer, but a new beginning is here as the first of two podcasts this week have arrived. On deck:

(6:23) Both World Series representatives (Yankees, Dodgers) from last year avoid sweeps, the Phillies lose their ace (Zack Wheeler) for the remainder of the year. Will there be any drama over the course of the final five weeks of 2025? Plus, all of the latest that MLB has to offer as we approach the final month of the season.

(34:11) NFL now has its sights set on the regular season. First up, tomorrow’s rosters need to be set. There’s been some player movement already as I’ll update on what’s gone on. Also, college football is here as we get set to open up the new season this coming weekend, despite it officially beginning last weekend.

(40:50) The US Open has already begun at Flushing Meadows, with a surprising upset right out of the gate. I’ll preview what could take place over the next two weeks as the last major of 2025 is here.

(52:46) Napheesa Collier is back for the Minnesota Lynx as they’re looking as the team to beat in the WNBA.

(54:48) A key member of the Stanley Cup Champion Florida Panthers will miss the start of the season as NHL training camps commence in a few weeks.

(56:49) Lastly, some news in golf as Tommy Fleetwood is your FedEx Champion. Is it a big deal?

Here to deliver another episode of sports talk unlike any other, detailing all that’s happened and what will happen. On deck:

(6:20) Are the Yankees on the verge of catching the Blue Jays in the AL East? They seem to have erased the doldrums of the past two months as they’ve been bashing and mashing the baseball as of late. The Red Sox come to The Bronx for four huge games starting tonight. Also, commissioner Rob Manfred dropped hints at possible realignment in the years to come. Is that a good thing? Or bad?

(34:05) Is this the end of former first round pick Anthony Richardson’s tenure in Indianapolis? I’m going to speak the cold, hard truth about his past, present and future in the NFL.

(40:27) Don’t look now, but college football is back. Well, sort of, as the schedule is introduced this weekend.

(43:22) A not so surprising retirement for a former #1 overall pick and a coach gets an extension are the highlights in the NBA.

(46:17) Have the Liberty saved face if they matchup with the Lynx in the Finals again, after salvaging their season series on Tuesday night after losing the first three?

(50:34) Jake Paul has announced that he will fight Gervonta Davis on November 14th. Will this be a boxing match? Or another sideshow of an event?

Ready to set sail on the latest podcast that’ll have the sports fan wanting more when it’s all said and done. On deck:

(6:25) Just a quick housekeeping note on some background noise that may occur during the podcast. Unfortunately, it was out of my control so I apologize for the inconvenience.

(7:00) Just when we thought the Dodgers were in trouble in the NL West, they show who’s boss with a series sweep and taking over first place against the Padres. The Brewers almost had a 15th straight win, but were unable to do so yesterday. Concern brewing in Philadelphia where Zach Wheeler is on the IL with a blood clot in his shoulder. Is a long playoff run out of the question? Plus, all that’s happening in the division and wild card races as we’re two weeks away from September.

(31:47) The NFL season is now two and a half weeks away. Not much is happening unless you’re wrapped up in Jaxson Dart’s play in NY with the Giants. Ashton Jeanty’s comments in Las Vegas. Or Dillon Gabriel’s play in Cleveland.

(36:03) Is NBC’s NBA coverage on Tuesday nights really going to start much later than normal?

(39:29) Will we see Caitlin Clark on the court anytime before the end of the regular season?

(42:01) There’s a new middleweight champion in the UFC as Khamzat Chimeav dominates Dricus Du Plessis in a unanimous decision on Saturday night. Did the layoff have something to do with Du Plessis inefficiency?
