With the month of May on the horizon, April promises to go out like a lion as there’s plenty to discuss throughout the sports landscape as the latest podcast has arrived. On deck:

(4:15) I can go in many different directions to kick off the the podcast, but I’ll start off with some intrigue in the NBA as the first round is taking shape. How will the Knicks fare after a rough two game stretch? Who’ll come out on top in the Raptors-Cavs series? Will the Pistons draw even and not fall into a 3-1 deficit? Can the Nuggets run the table with Anthony Edwards out for the T-wolves? I’ll take each matchup one by one and forecast how this’ll play out over the next few days.

(28:49) As for the NHL, it’s pretty cut and dry. Two teams have advanced (COL & CAR), three teams are up 3-1 (PHI, BUF, ANA) two are even (MIN-DAL, MTL-TB) and one series is heading into Game 4 with the Mammoth up on Vegas. Will there be any drama as these first round series come to a close?

(40:45) The Boston Red Sox have fired manager Alex Cora, to the chagrin of some players on the team. Will this be the jump start that the BoSox needed? And are two other managers (Mets Carlos Mendoza & Phillies Rob Thomson) next in line to go?

(56:46) The NFL Draft is in the books. I’ll share some takeaways, with the biggest one is how overrated are grades, winners and losers of the event. Also, should Mike Vrabel be suspended, or even terminated, for his behavior off the field with former Athletic writer, Diana Russini?

(1:18:10) Tennis takes a huge hit going into their second major Grand Slam tournament of the year next month as Carlos Alcaraz will sit out due to a wrist injury. How does that bode for the reigning #1 player in the world Jannik Sinner?

Fired up to usher in another podcast with all of the sports talk and analysis that you won’t get anywhere else. On deck:

(4:00) The NBA Playoffs have arrived. There were no surprises, other than the Magic winning in Detroit after drubbing the Hornets Friday night in the play-in game. Is this the beginning of the end for the Warriors after their loss in Phoenix. I’ll peep at the other Game 1’s over the weekend and set up what the schedule looks like for the remainder of the week.

(20:22) The same could be said for the NHL as the Stanley Cup Playoffs are underway. You had a couple of close calls in Colorado & Buffalo, but the one shocker was Montreal winning in Tampa to steal Game 1. I’ll take a look at the other series and check out what lies ahead for the week schedule wise.

(34:25) Is this Mets season over in April? It’s still too early to say, but it’s sure looking like it. I have lots to say on this topic, from the owner Steve Cohen, to getting rid of the GM David Stearns, the manager could be next in Carlos Mendoza, even SS Francisco Lindor had something to say, which I’ll certainly unpack. The Mets aren’t the only team that’s bad as there are several other top teams that have hit the skids over the weekend.

(57:54) NFL fans, the Draft is upon us. There was a big trade on Saturday where the Bengals traded their #10 overall pick to the Giants for DT Dexter Lawrence. Was the price tag too big?

Also, UCLA put it on South Carolina in the women’s final, but not before fireworks between Gamecocks coach Dawn Staley & UConn head coach Geno Auriemma after SC’s dominant win in the semifinal. Was Geno out of line?

(31:44) We’re down to the final week of the NBA season. Will the Lakers be close to ready come playoff time as both Luka Doncic and Austin Reaves are nursing serious injuries?

(47:07) The NHL season will conclude in ten days. The Islanders are floundering as they fire their head coach with four games left. A panic move? Or the right move? I’ll look to see how these races are shaping up with roughly five to six games left.

(42:41) Did the Vegas Golden Knights make a desperate move by firing their head coach, Bruce Cassidy, with eight games left? The same can be said in the NHL as things are heating up on the ice when it comes to playoff seedings and teams making a last minute push to get into the postseason hunt.

(56:07) MLB’s first weekend is in the books. Is it a foregone conclusion that the Dodgers have already won the NL West after three games? I’ll joke about that (kind of) and see what else took place over the initial series for the sport in 2026.

The Ides of March has arrived. So has the Madness and everything else surrounding the sports world, so kick back and relax as I’ll go through it on the latest podcast. On deck:

(3:50) After spending a moment talking about how we’re out of the dreaded Sports Dead Zone, Part 1, the NCAA Tournament is back! It promises to be a sprint to Indianapolis over the next two weekends. I’ll break down all of the regions, see who got shafted, which bracket is the toughest, easiest, etc. as this should be a wild couple of weeks in college basketball.

(30:15) One half of the WBC is set as USA ekes out a thriller vs. Dominican Republic. Who will they end up playing in the Final (Italy-Venezuela) and why baseball is by far, the best sport? (Even over football) Also, the MLB season is a little over a week away as spring training is down to its final few games.

(44:33) The NBA continues to trudge along, making its way down the homestretch. I’ll catch up on who’s making some serious moves in the standing, jockeying for a higher seed in both conferences.

(54:16) The same could be said for the NHL, but some controversy surrounds an Anaheim Ducks player recent suspension. Did he get off light after a huge hit on star sniper Auston Matthews?

(1:04:22) After a hot start to NFL free agency, it’s cooled down considerably as expected. I’ll see where Kyler Murray ended up, where’s Kirk Cousins going and a few other fringe signings that took place.

(1:07:27) I’ll wrap up with some golf and tennis as The Players Championship came down to the wire and Jannik Sinner prevails at Indian Wells.

(54:33) We’re now three days from Selection Sunday in college basketball. Which teams are on the bubble? Who is in? And who is out?

(58:22) On the ice, the Buffalo Sabres continue to steamroll towards their first playoff berth in 15 years. And they’ve practically come out of nowhere. How far could they possibly go?

A new month is ushered in as we get a sense of the Madness that lies ahead. I’ll have all of the latest and greatest of what’s happening in sports as the next episode is on deck.

The sun’s about to set on the month of February, but not before one last podcast as I delve into all that’s happening throughout the sports universe. On deck:

(24:49) With March Madness just a few weeks away, things are heating up in the college ranks as Houston loses for the third straight game. Is their potential #1 seed in a bracket jeopardized because of this recent skid?

(33:32) The NHL is back after a successful Gold Medal game in the Olympics. Will there be any carryover heading into the weekend?

(43:39) A future Hall of Fame pitcher (Max Scherzer) returns for his 19th season, inking a one year deal in Toronto. What about Tarik Skubal’s position when it comes to participating in the World Baseball Classic?

(51:35) The NFL has announced three more games that are being played in London next year, but one team will have two of those games as the home team?

Another major snowstorm in a month isn’t going to stop me as the last week of February and the latest podcast is here, detailing all that’s happening in sports. On deck:

(3:39) I had to take a second to discuss about the Blizzard of 2026 in NYC as we have to dig out of another storm before we get to the month of March.

(5:04) The USA Men’s Hockey Team did it. They won their first gold medal since the Miracle on Ice back in 1980, defeating Canada 2-1 in OT. Despite the win, there’s a bit of a stain in my eyes as to how it was won, which quite a few people share the same sentiment. I’ll also put a bow on the Olympic Games as it wrapped up last night, with the next stop in France four years from now.

(18:58) That’ll lead me into the hockey as the season will resume on Wednesday. I’ll take a look into what could possibly transpire over the next two months as we get set for a sprint to the Stanley Cup Playoffs from here on out.

(34:52) The NBA is in full swing after the All-Star Break. I’ll go over some of the key games over the weekend and peek at the schedule this week as there are some interesting games forthcoming for the Detroit Pistons.

(42:25) College basketball had a huge weekend with the top four teams going at it against one another. I’ll recap Michigan-Duke and Arizona-Houston as the sport heats up with their biggest month just one week away.

(48:03) MLB’s exhibition season has begun, but overall things are quiet in the sport. There was some sad news coming out of the weekend as Pirates legend Bill Mazeroski died at the age of 89.

(38:08) The Winter Olympics are down to its final few days. Where do we stand with the ice hockey as we look forward to a Clash of the Titans between the US-Canada? Also, how was won medals in some of the other events that have taken place?

(50:11) There’s a shift in the players union for MLB. Tony Clark resigns amid scandal, while Bruce Meyer is the interim executive director. Will a new leader be appointed some time soon? I have a wild prediction on who could possible be next in line? More importantly, how does this impact the negotiation with the CBA expiring in December?

(1:05:24) Cuts and restructuring of contracts are starting to take into shape for the NFL’s offseason as the Dolphins let go of Tyreek Hill and Bradley Chubb, while the Chiefs restructure the contract of Patrick Mahomes. Is a Hill/Chiefs reunion forthcoming? Plus, the 49ers have another international game on their schedule?

(49:05) Is college football really thinking about expanding the playoff field to 24 teams? Why I think that is absolutely a no-no for yours truly?

(57:02) Will Phillies 1B Bryce Harper make 2026 personal after the president of baseball ops said he wasn’t an elite player last year? Also, his former teammate Nick Castellanos was let go by the team and resurfaced in San Diego after he and the manager did not see eye to eye.
