Episode 79 delivers all of the latest and greatest in the world of sports. On deck:

Kawhi Leonard chooses LA, but not the Lakers! How the latest player empowerment movement impacts the Association as Paul George tag teams with the NBA Finals MVP? What does OKC do with Russell Westbrook in the aftermath of this deal? (Knick fans: Don't even think about it!)

As MLB hits the break, what we can possibly expect over the course before the trade deadline and the second half of the season. I'll also deep dive on the Mets and Yankees and what lies ahead for both franchises.

On a lesser scale, the NHL free agency period was chock full of signings. The Rangers get their man, while the Islanders are still scrambling for a sniper. I'll get into all of the major free agents and where they've ended up to this point.

Fifteen year old Coco Gauff has been the story at Wimbledon to date. Unfortunately, she wasn't able to get past former #1 Simona Halep. as chase for a championship comes to a close. Could this be the next rising star in tennis? What does this mean moving forward?

Plus, my Hero and Zero of the Week.

(59:57) My guest is host of Sirius XM's The Bottom Line Sports Show on NBA Radio, Gerald Brown as we discuss the craziness of the NBA offseason. The impact of what took place in Brooklyn as opposed to the Garden. Why Knick fans shouldn't get wrapped up in what the Nets are doing? Best signing this offseason? Head scratcher? And lots more.

Brooklyn's In The House! Knicks Come Up Short & NBA Free Agency Whirlwind, Yankees London Calling, Mets Sky Falling & More

Kicking off the first day of July with more fireworks than the Fourth as Episode 78 brings plenty of bottle rockets, booms and blasts with the following:

Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving sign with the Brooklyn Nets. What does this mean for this upcoming season minus KD? The 2020-21 season? Also, I leave a small verbal note to the newly minted Nets fan.

The Knicks fall short of their pursuit of the two big guns. Why that’s not a bad thing? And why the contracts of the recent players they signed benefits for the short and long term? Also, James Dolan’s impact on why the Garden isn’t the ‘Mecca’ like it once was.

The Yankees bopped their way overseas to two large victories over their heated rivals. What’s the next step for this team as it heads into the All-Star Break and the trade deadline 30 days away?

The Mets are crawling into the All-Star Break after another gut-wrenching week. What the Mets have to look forward to, not only this week with the Yankees coming into their building, but for the remainder of the year if they want any relevance this summer?

NHL free agency has begun. Hear some of the trades taking place and what the Islanders need to do to take their team to the next level here during the shopping spree of procuring players.

Plus, some Wimbledon news and my Hero and Zero of the Week.

Sports 'Dead Zone' Pt. 2, Mets Unraveling in Wrigley, Yanks Soaring with London On Deck, Celtics Re-tooling?

Episode 77 welcomes in summer, closes out June and prepares us for another sports talk podcast party for the masses. On tap:

The second sports 'Dead Zone' of the year has arrived. I'll explain.

An eventful week that was for the Mets included, the firing of their pitching coach and bullpen coach. Pete Alonso’s record breaking rookie season, not securing a road series win since the beginning of April at Wrigley Field, leading up to some salty post game comments by manager, Mickey Callaway, at a Newsday reporter AND pitcher Jason Vargas intervening. Is Mickey Callaway on his way out? My biggest fear for Pete Alonso in 2019?  I have LOTS to say about this, as you might expect!

The Yankees weren't able to pay back the Astros with a sweep at home, but come off of an eight game winning streak as their big guns (i.e. Giancarlo Stanton and Aaron Judge) are back in the starting lineup. They have a trip across the pond at the end of the week in London vs. the Red Sox. You'll get my take on why I don't like these games being played overseas?

I'll recap the NBA Draft, get into some NBA free agency stuff as we're exactly a week away. Plus, my thoughts on the Celtics this offseason. Are they looking to re-tool? Re-load?

I'll touch on the Devils and Rangers going 1-2 in the draft and what that means for the rivalry and organizations moving forward. Also, my Hero and Zero of the Week.

March Madness Begins, NFL Free Agency Fallout, MLB Rule Changes, Clyde Frazier's Comments About LeBron

Geordie Day, Filmmaker of Tough Guy: The Bob Probert Story

An early Christmas gift to the hockey fan, especially the hockey fight fan, is in store on this edition of The JAYREELZ Podcast. Over a seventeen year career for the Detroit Red Wings and Chicago Blackhawks, Bob Probert was the most feared player in the NHL. His presence and fighting ability were legendary, but with that came addiction to drugs and alcohol. His death in July 2010 sent shockwaves throughout the league as all of the excess and abuse unfortunately caught up to him. My guest shares his experience detailing the man, myth and legend in an upcoming documentary titled, Tough Guy: The Bob Probert Story. Filmmaker Geordie Day delves into the making of this film, the challenges he faced, the genesis of how it all came together and what’s the message he wants the people to come away with watching this movie. It’s an in-depth look on one of the most polarizing athletes of the past thirty years (and for some, may never heard of), but you’ll have your chance to get to know more about the man they called, ‘Probie’ on the latest episode of The JAYREELZ Podcast. The Jets season has reached its’ nadir, squandering a fourth quarter lead en route to their sixth straight loss at Tennessee. Who’s to blame for this recent disaster? It’s time to put the proverbial end of the 2018 NY Jets as they weren’t able to take flight down in South Florida vs. the Dolphins. There’s lots of blame to go around after their third straight loss drops them to 3-6 on the season. Is it time for Todd Bowles to be fired? Should Sam Darnold ride the pine after his four interception performance? I’ll answer those questions and go around the league in Week 8 to highlight the Saints stopping the Rams unbeaten season, players wanting to play in Oakland, says coach Jon Gruden? Also, the Texans march to a division title, the Steelers death knell to their archrivals and can the Falcons get back in the NFC playoff picture? Yanks/MLB Playoffs, Jets/Giants/NFL Week 5, College Football, NHL, MMA

A busy sports October is in full swing. I’m here to dissect it all on this weeks edition of The JAYREELZ Podcast. I’ll point out what it’ll take to have the Bombers not go back to Beantown for a Game 5 and what needs to be done if you’re the Red Sox to extend the series to advance to the ALCS. Not to mention, a brief thought on the fans that invade the Stadium and the influence (good and bad) that they have during these playoff games. Plus, the rest of the MLB playoff landscape.
