It was a Super ending for one team, but a Super beginning for all of us as I host the first ever LIVESTREAM for the podcast detailing ALL that’s happening in the world of sports as the latest podcast has arrived. On deck:

It’s the storm before the calm as the sports world has been put in a blender. I’ll serve up what they’ve put out over the past few days and what lies ahead as the latest podcast is here. On deck:

(30:13) The NBA has been a revolving door of player movement over the past 48 hours. Big names such as James Harden, Anthony Davis, Kristaps Porzingis, Chris Paul, among others have been dealt as the deadline is today at 3pm. Will more moves be made? Also, there were a couple of upsets in college basketball (Gonzaga & Michigan State) as I’ll focus on that sport sooner than later.

(53:26) The Olympic break is just about here. So will the NHL regular season. The Rangers have made a deal with one of their veteran players with their deadline still a month away. Is there any concern for consensus #1 overall pick of the draft this year, Gavin McKenna, getting arrested with felonious assault?

(59:57) Framber Valdez finally latches onto a team as the free agent signs with the Tigers. Why this move is low key huge for Detroit as pitchers and catchers will report next week?

Closing out the first month of the new year the only way I know how, delivering top notch sports talk on a high level as the latest podcast has arrived. On deck:

(42:16) The NHL is going on hiatus a week from today due to the Olympic break, but not before another outdoor Stadium Series game that’ll take place in Florida on Sunday.

(50:33) Tennis’s first major of 2026 is about to come to a close this weekend. I’ll peek in on the big matches that are forthcoming and review some of the losses to key players leading up to today.

The final week of January is here. So is the latest podcast, taking inventory on all that’s happening in the world of sports. On deck:

I’ll recap Championship Sunday with the good (Sam Darnold), bad (snowy weather in Denver) and ugly (Sean Payton’s coaching) with some early thoughts on the big game in less than two weeks. The Steelers have hired Mike McCarthy as their head coach. Was this the right choice?

(36:58) Will the Milwaukee Bucks deal franchise star Giannis Antetokounmpo before next week’s trade deadline? Even after suffering a calf injury where he’ll be out at least a month? I’ll also get into the college basketball in the days and weeks to come.

(46:24) With the Winter Olympics a week and a half away, where do we stand with the latest on the ice as the NHL prepares for a break?

(50:57) The Australian Open heads into Week 2 without a roar or even a pulse. Will that change in the days to come?

(53:29) There were a couple of signings in baseball that may not shake the landscape, but know that pitchers and catchers reporting is a lot closer than you think.

(1:00:43) Is it time to panic if you’re a Knicks fan? Well, not after last night’s biggest margin of victory in franchise history. I’ll peek in to see what’s happening there and the rest of the NBA.

A terrible FAUX PAS on my part, but I did catch myself JUST IN TIME when I preview in the NHL segment. My apologies for the egregious error. THANKFULLY, I caught it as I was able to pivot and discuss the RIGHT series and not what I thought it was! NOW…Game 1’s in the NBA first round of the playoffs are in the books. No surprises as the home teams won all of them. Does this bode well for the big underdogs (ex. Sixers, Heat, Lakers, in particular) heading into Game 2? I’ll go through each series and how this could play out over the course of the next few days? I’ll get into the Knicks grit over Philadelphia. The Heat’s Caleb Martin’s bump on Celtics Jayson Tatum. The Bucks solid win without Giannis. The T-Wolves maturity? How the Suns have a lot to answer to, despite a lack of depth? James Harden’s proclamation after GM 1. The Lakers shot vs. the defending champs and much more!

(25:01) You had the same theme in the NHL as six of the eight series has begun, where the home team was victorious. Can the Islanders and Capitals get back in their series? The wild opening game in Winnipeg with the Jets vs. Avalanche. Boston dominating the Maple Leafs. Vancouver showing resolve against Nashville. And after my huge error thinking it was Vegas-Oilers and Kings-Stars, I’ll share my prediction on who’ll come out of the Vegas-Stars and Kings-Oilers series.

(41:34) Baseball is creeping toward the first month of their season. What is stark at the moment? The difference between the good teams and the very BAD teams. There are a number of teams that have been awful to date. Colorado, Miami, Oakland even Houston is off to a 7-16 start. How about the White Sox at 3-18? 3-18!!! I’ll unpack how the MLB could be in for a long summer with the disparity between the haves and have nots.

(54:04) Draftniks & draft geeks are pumped up as the NFL Draft is on Thursday. I’ll tease what the outlook of the first five or six picks of the draft may go as it’s a quarterback heavy top of the draft where Chicago (for sure), Washington (very likely) and New England (well, maybe or maybe not) will look to change the fortune of their franchises and select Caleb Williams from USC, Jayden Daniels from LSU and Drake Maye from UNC, quite possibly in that order.

It's been a busy past few days in the sports world and it's evident because I've got plenty to unpack as the latest podcast is here for consumption. On deck:

One of its best players in their teams history (QB, Ben Roethlisberger) has called out the organization as far as their tradition might be past them, as well as, taking shots at the head coach, Mike Tomlin, along the way. Is he accurate? Out of line? The NFL is going to expand their international reach as they're looking to have Brazil host a game next year. Is this an exercise of futility? Is this necessary? There's some news regarding the officiating front where the commissioner and VP of football operations have come out in light of the call in Kansas City on Sunday, where WR Kadarius Toney was in the neutral zone prior to the touchdown that gave the Chiefs the lead. What was said during those discussions and what may change? Oh! I'll preview a super busy schedule, which now adds Saturday to the mix with just about every game having playoff implications. I'll also pay respects to former Titans TE, Frank Wycheck, who passed away tragically last weekend at the age of 52.

(36:21) The Association has had some eventful moments the past 48 hours or so. Bucks forward, Giannis Antetokounmpo scored a career high 64 points last night vs. Indiana. How he acted after the game in searching for the game ball as a keepsake was a complete overreaction? Then you had Warriors Draymond Green suspended indefinitely for striking Suns Jusuf Nurkic on Tuesday night. As tired as his act has been throughout his career, was this too extreme? Will the Spurs ever win again? Of course they will, but they've lost 18 games in a row. Is there a chance they can snap their streak before the weekend is out?

(47:20) Off the ice, the St. Louis Blues fired their head coach Craig Berube. And what's this about the owner of the Washington Capitals & NBA Wizards, Ted Leonsis, wanting to move his teams to Northern Virginia by the end of the decade? On the ice, the Edmonton Oilers have been bulldozing the competition after a very slow start as they've won eight straight.

(53:34) Who would've thought that we're almost a week since the news of Shohei Ohtani signing his whopping $700 million dollar contract with the Dodgers, that it's still making waves. Whether it's the $680 million dollars deferred after 2033, an opt out that's rather odd and what this does for the team's luxury tax? Quite a bit to unpack as this MLB Hot Stove has been rather cool, even with the Giants (who made an offer to Ohtani similar to what the Dodgers did) signed Korean outfielder Jung Hoo Lee to a six year/113 million dollar deal.

Ushering in November with some sizzling analysis (Episode 97) as I take you through the sports universe. Here’s what I got for you.

The disasters in New York (Jets) and Cleveland as both Adam Gase and Freddie Kitchens are feeling the heat in their first season as head coach. The Niners are the last undefeated team standing in the NFL. I’ll discuss how far they can take their streak, plus go around the league to chime about the Patriots first loss and other storylines throughout Week 9.

The Washington Nationals won their first World Series in historic fashion by winning all four games on the road. I’ll put a nice ribbon on their magic carpet ride, as well as, what the Astros did wrong, particularly in Game 7. I’ll also get into some of the top free agents on the market this off-season. And, of course, my insight on the new Met manager, Carlos Beltran, that you don’t want to miss.

I’ll share some thoughts on the NBA where there was a high scoring affair between the Rockets vs. Wizards, Stephen Curry’s broken hand and Joel Embiid is up to his stupid tactics yet again.

The Mets playoff hopes are hanging by a thread with 13 games to go as they trail by four games in the NL Wild Card race. Can they pull off a miracle and make it to October? I'll explain why Pete Alonso is the future of this team and what should've been for a former Met who received early accolades, but never panned out to what we thought he'd become. Also, an up to the minute AL/NL Wild Card update and the hunt for baseballs' best record is on the line between the Yankees, Astros and Dodgers.

The US Men's Basketball team took a big hit in the FIBA World Cup as they finished in seventh place for the tournament. Is this cause for concern with the Olympics slated for next summer? I'll get into that, plus my Hero and Zero of the Week.

In fourteen NFL cities this morning, either they're setting up the Super Bowl parade route or ready to draft for the number one pick. But there are two excpetions. I'll explain. I'll also go around the league and assess the damage up in Foxborough as the Steelers no showed vs. the Patriots.

The Mets have put their postseason hopes in the trash after a brutal loss in Washington and losing two out of three vs. Philadelphia. Mickey Callaway may have seen his managerial position go out the window with some very questionable moves this week. I have plenty of ammunition on this and I'll also recap the latest in the AL & NL Wild Card races.

Rafael Nadal has inched closer in his quest to catch Roger Federer for most Mens' Grand Slam titles. Serena Williams has now lost back to back Wimbledon and US Open Finals as she's stuck on 23 Grand Slam victories. Hear my take on both legendary figures and what may lie ahead in 2020 now that the Tennis Slams are done for the year.

I’m closing out the month of February in strong fashion as I deliver all that’s happening in the world of sports on this edition of The JAYREELZ Podcast. Manny Machado has finally found a home in San Diego. With all players reporting for spring training, there is still one big fish out there not signed to a major league contract. Will Bryce Harper come to agreement with the Phillies who are hot on his trail? Or possibly the Dodgers, as they’ve stepped into the mix to procure the former MVP? You’ll get my up to the minute analysis on where this road may lead to and why I believe Philadelphia shouldn’t be a destination for the former National. All of the talk last week in college basketball was the injury to Duke’s ballyhooed freshman, Zion Williamson. It sparked a national debate on whether he should sit out for the rest of the season and enter the NBA Draft, how college players should be paid, etc. But I’ll give you the real reason why this is a story at all and I’ll point the finger as to who is the culprit in all of this mess. Then you have the developments of Friday’s charge to New England Patriots owner, Robert Kraft of soliciting a prostitute in a massage parlor in Florida. There’s still more to come with this story, but I’ll share firsthand why we shouldn’t jump the gun on prosecuting Mr. Kraft, but also should’ve known that this firestorm was going to come whether or not he’s guilty. The stage is set for the big game in two weeks. I’m here to provide how both the Los Angeles Rams and New England Patriots got there, plus all of the latest in the world of sports on this edition of The JAYREELZ Podcast. The NFL hit a grand slam on Championship Sunday with epic overtime games in New Orleans & Kansas City. The Rams were able to eke out an win, but not without controversy. The officials admittedly blew a key third down call late in the game that will have lasting effects throughout the offseason. You’ll get my take on why that call wasn’t the reason the Saints lost and why pass interference calls should NOT be reviewed. The Patriots do it again. They’ve made their fourth Super Bowl in five years, five in eight and nine in eighteen during the Brady/Belichick era. I’ll share what put the Pats over the top and how Brady’s magic and Belichick’s mastery sealed another trip to the Super Bowl. Also, what this loss means for the Chiefs moving forward? I’ll get into a few of the storylines heading into the week before the Super Bowl and shed some early light on the game.
