It’s almost time to say goodbye to September, but not before I get puh-lenty off my chest as the sports world has me cranky, tight and down right pissed off as the latest podcast has arrived. On deck:

(10:12) The MLB marathon of a season is complete as the Wild Card round is set for tomorrow. One team that didn’t cross the finish line and qualify for the playoffs are the NY Mets. I’ll unpack their demise and future and preview the matchups to see who’ll advance to the Division Series in each league.

(51:57) Are the Baltimore Ravens is serious trouble? Not only are they 1-3, but they could be without Lamar Jackson for the foreseeable future. Plus, all of the Week 4 schedule as I’ll recap what took place. I wondering how people are feeling about Bad Bunny being the Super Bowl Halftime Act?

(1:09:39) Penn State yet again, shows why they’re paper Lions in another rough defeat at home to the Oregon Ducks. While Alabama pulls off a stunning upset vs. Georgia who hadn’t lost at home in six years.

(1:14:51) There was a bludgeoning out on the golf course at Bethpage Black for the Ryder Cup. USA were undressed and embarrassed by the Europeans in a big way as they went on to win on American soil. And don’t get me started on the fans atrocious behavior.

(1:22:52) A big regular season for the Minnesota Lynx gets flushed in Phoenix as the Mercury pull off the shocking upset in the WNBA semifinals. How did it get to this point?

(1:25:03) A major injury involving the captain of the two time defending Stanley Cup champs that could derail a possible three peat with the season just over a week from commencing.

Just a few more days remain of September, which means the sports world is ready to kick it up a notch, which also means so is the latest podcast. On deck:

(6:40) A quick housekeeping note as I’ll release my latest vlog on the YouTube channel, reliving and remembering Shea Stadium. (7:42) How have the Tigers fallen from AL powerhouse to scratching and clawing just to qualify for the MLB playoffs? While the Mets are doing the same in the NL with just four games to go? I’ll unpack their plights and will they survive to see another postseason? Are the Yankees going to end up winning the AL East? Let the drama begins as the final weekend of the MLB season is almost here.

(35:18) NFL Week 4 has excellent games in every window (PHI-TB at 1pm, BAL-KC at 4:25 & GB-DAL at 8:20) with the first international game set at 9:30am ET (MIN-PIT), but not much else. Also, a change at QB in NY has the Jaxson Dart era commencing earlier than expected. Is this a panic move from the head coach, Brian Daboll?

(47:58) College football has three big games upcoming, but why is Alabama-Georgia and Oregon-Penn State on simultaneously in primetime?

(51:30) The WNBA playoffs have been entertaining to date. Now you have the Phoenix Mercury making it a series against the heavily favored Minnesota Lynx, tied at 1-1. Plus, how can you justify firing a head coach not even one year removed from winning at title. That’s what the Liberty did to Sandy Brondello. I also squeeze in an NBA point on Fred VanVleet tearing his ACL and what that does for the Houston Rockets this season?

(1:00:43) A highly anticipated Ryder Cup is on the docket this weekend out at Bethpage Black in Farmingdale, NY. I’ll preview how close this golf tournament could be and who has the upper hand heading into the match beginning Friday.

Kick starting another jam packed week of sports talk as I detailed ALL of the latest and greatest. Thanks for tuning in to get your fix. On deck:

(6:37) It’s championship series time in MLB with one game complete in the NL. The Dodgers have dominated the final two games of the NLDS vs. the Padres and Game 1 last night, to the tune of 33 consecutive scoreless innings. Is the pressure off of the NL West champs as they escaped another first round exit? What are the keys for the Mets to get back in the series and win the NL? I’ll take a look at the AL in how the Yankees & Guardians have gotten to this point and preview what to possibly expect in that series? I’ll also share my thoughts on what matchup MLB wants to see in the World Series. One isn’t a surprise. The other one is, so you won’t want to miss it.

(34:48) After six weeks of the NFL season, it hasn’t been as compelling or riveting to date. There are a few feel good stories (Vikings, Texans, Commanders), but overall, there hasn’t been much to write about. What’s going on with the Cowboys as they got blasted 47-9 at home? Is Jaguars coach Doug Pederson going to leave London with a job before it’s all said and done? What got into Eagles coach Nick Sirianni jawing back at the Philly faithful? I’ll go around the league to check on what’s happening, including a big Monday night game between the Bills-Jets.

(50:51) College football had another great weekend, including a classic between Ohio State-Oregon. But it comes with a big caveat. Has the college football playoff ruined the regular season? I’ll explain why, even after big wins by Oregon, Penn State and LSU, among others made news on Saturday.

(1:02:21) After a very brief mention of Donte DiVincenzo’s spat with former assistant Knicks coach, Rick Brunson at the end of a preseason game, how about the Utah Hockey Club? Off to a 3-0 start, they’ve lit the lamp with plenty of goal scoring as they make their way through the tri-state area of NYC, beating the Islanders and Rangers while looking to sweep their visit with a game in New Jersey tonight. What is happening in Edmonton as the Western Conference Champs are off to an 0-3 start while being outscored 15-3, losing all three games at home!?

Is This A Dream? Mets Slam Phillies Into NLCS. Dodgers Survive, Yanks/Tigers Thrive. Luis Tiant Dies. Jets Ground Saleh. Does Ohio St-Oregon Impact Big Picture? NHL Is Back. Rafa Retires

What a difference a few days can make as I’m riding high and excited as I can be, here to deliver an hour plus of my analysis on what the sports world has to offer as the latest podcast has arrived! On deck:

(6:41) It’s a wild ride that I don’t want to get off from. The New York Mets have advanced to the NLCS for the first time since 2015 as they dispose of the Philadelphia Phillies in four games. Is this really happening? Who are these guys? I’ll go over the past two resounding victories, have a request for the baseball gods and could this ride take us fans to a World Series? I’ll check in on the other series as the Dodgers showed some toughness to push the Padres to a deciding fifth game. The Yankees get back on the beam after a rough Game 2 loss to put the Royals on the brink. Can Gerrit Cole put the hammer down in a close out game? Then the Guardians have to stay alive in Detroit as the Tigers are flying high to see if they can get back to an ALCS for the first time since 2013. I’ll also share my thoughts on the passing of former Red Sox pitcher, Luis Tiant, who died at the age of 83.

(41:26) Five plus weeks into the NFL season, we’ve got our first head coach fired as Robert Sale was given his walking papers by the New York Jets. Was this too soon? Is his replacement (defensive coordinator Jeff Ulbrich) the answer? It’s a rather light Week 6 schedule as the two highlight games are Washington at Baltimore, Detroit at Dallas and a big Monday night between the Bills and Jets.

(52:35) College football has a GINORMOUS game on Saturday night as #2 Ohio State will visit #3 Oregon. What does this mean for the college football playoff picture? There are two other biggies forthcoming (#1 Texas at #18 Oklahoma, #9 Ole Miss vs. #13 LSU which we’ll keep an eye on.

(56:16) The NHL is back on the sports map. It’s only been a couple of days, but I’ll discuss the Panthers opening night win and banner celebration. The Utah Hockey Club wins their first ever game and now come to the New York area over the next five days, while the Rangers may be on a mission with a statement shutout over the aging Penguins in Pittsburgh.

(1:00:49) Rafael Nadal will go off into the sunset as he’ll retire at the end of the tennis season. I’ll recap his spirit, championship play and does he belong on the sport’s Mt. Rushmore?

A Dolphin Juggernaut: NFL's Best? Colorado Quacked By Ducks. Ohio St. Miracle At ND. Astros & Mariners Shrink As AL Wild Card Up For Grabs. Another Winter I Can Sleep In Peace. RIP 2023 Yankees

It's another sports podcast party as I close out the month of September with the first of two action packed shows that'll whet the casual and diehard sports fan alike. On deck:

(2:56) Are the Miami Dolphins a team that we need to take seriously? To the point that after three weeks, are they the NFL's best? I know it's way to early to dive into, but after their 70 point, 723 yards of explosive offense, we can argue that they are #1. I'll have my usual winners (i.e. Cardinals, Browns) and losers (i.e. Commanders, Vikings and Jaguars) and go through all of the games of Week 3 including the Packers comeback vs. New Orleans, another brutal Jet loss to the Patriots, among others.

(33:32) A very intriguing college football Saturday this past week as we saw Deion Sanders's Colorado Buffaloes not belong on the same field with the Oregon Ducks. I have a thing or two to say about Ducks coach Dan Lanning in regards to his postgame comments, but Deion's squad has another big matchup this week as USC comes into their building. Florida State hung on at Clemson to win a tough road game. Same for Ohio State as it came down to the wire at South Bend to defeat Notre Dame in the final seconds, 17-14. Alabama withstood a sluggish first half to beat Ole Miss at home. Utah won a defensive battle against UCLA in their building. Washington State outlasted Oregon State behind an enormous game from QB Cam Ward. And Penn State took care of Iowa at Happy Valley in a loaded schedule that saw a little shift in the top ten when it comes to the rankings as we head into October.

(45:46) What has happened to the Astros and Mariners down the stretch? Both teams got swept over the weekend, which'll lead into their epic showdown for the first of three games tonight in Seattle as they battle it out for the final wild card spot in the AL. It's tough to figure who'll come out on top based on their recent play. I'll also dissect the NL Wild Card as we're down to the final week of the MLB regular season. Oh! Who would've thought I'd utter this sentence before October? Another winter that I can sleep in peace. The New York Yankees have been eliminated from postseason contention. I'll actually have a vlog on this in the coming days, which you can watch (and subscribe) to my YouTube channel linked below.

Colts Stampede, Titan-ic Upset Highlights NFL WK 12 Winners & Losers. Ohio St.: Hottest Team In Nation? Lakers Malaise. Islanders Sinking. MLB Signings

As you prepare to give thanks for all that's in your life through food, family and football, I'll be sure to set the table with all of the fixins and serve up some hard hitting sports talk to whet your appetite as Episode #225 is hot out of the oven! On deck:

(6:50) The NFL had a very interesting Week 11, with some surprising winners (i.e. MIN & IND) and shocking losers (i.e. TEN & BUF) as I cover all that happened throughout the league. Is it time to take the Colts seriously? What about the Patriots? Can the Eagles make a run in the NFC East? Is the Chief defense for real? I'll share a take or two on the Steelers wild comeback falling short vs. the Chargers. I'll take an early peek at the Thanksgiving games (HINT: Not too much to write home about!) and a captivating Week 12 schedule to cap off your holiday weekend.

(40:36) The college football season continues to impress as there were not one, but two teams, that drop out of the running for the playoff set for New Year's Eve as Michigan State and Oregon were embarrassed on Saturday. What does this mean for Cincinnati? Are they an automatic to make the college football playoff? Is Ohio State the hottest team in the country? I'll preview what will be a fascinating slate of games this weekend, highlighted by the grudge match at the Big House between Ohio St. vs. Michigan.

(55:58) The Lakers (aka The Expendables) haven't been able to get in sync during the early part of the season. The big news was the fracas in Detroit where LeBron James whacked Isaiah Stewart across the face after a free throw attempt. Will this team get out of their malaise any time soon? I compare them to another veteran team of the past that had their shortcomings, but made it to an NBA Final in the process. I'll also get into the potential return of Klay Thompson, the first coach fired this season comes from the Sacramento Kings, a huge loss for the Cleveland Cavaliers, the Phoenix Suns torrid streak and other top stories from the past week in the Association.

(1:06:00) The Islanders have ended their 13 game odyssey throughout North America with two home games in their brand spanking new arena (UBS Arena) over the past weekend. But when they ended their long road trip with a four game losing streak, only to top it off with two more losses at home, which begs the question. Will they be able to turn it around quickly and not fall any deeper in the Eastern Conference? I'll discuss the latest with a key player from the two time defending Cup champions going out indefinitely with an injury (TB's Brayden Point), a COVID breakout in Ottawa and the Thanksgiving Friday game which has become an annual matchup between two original six teams (i.e. Rangers-Bruins)

(1:15:53) There's been some activity in free agency throughout baseball with the impending doom of the collective bargaining agreement expiring on December 1st. Some pitchers have re-signed with their team (Toronto's Jose Berrios) and some have changed addresses, which includes former Mets starter, Noah Syndergaard. So you know I have a couple of things to get off of my chest about this. The Yankees are posturing for a big off-season, but again, baseball armageddon is coming. Will it be a long, cold, hard winter for the sport? I also have a few choice words for super agent Scott Boras as he chimes in about how teams are 'tanking' before the trade deadline and how it affects business with his clients.

(1:22:54) Welterweight Terence Crawford wins in a 10th round TKO over Shawn Porter on Saturday night. Is there a chance that we can see a fight with Errol Spence, Jr. on the horizon?
