Delivering the latest podcast on a day that this country will remember forever, squeezing a dose of reality and what we enjoy as sports fans simultaneously. On deck:

(6:40) Remembering the events of 9/11 as someone who was near the site of the World Trade Center 24 years ago today.

(17:21) Are the Mets in danger of missing the postseason, despite the fact that they control their own destiny? I’ll uncover what has gone wrong and why Met fans should be worried, but also cautiously optimistic simultaneously? I’ll see what else is happening throughout the sport as what I thought would be a sleepy September is turning out to be an eventful one for MLB.

(38:07) NFL Week 2 has a Super Bowl rematch as the Chiefs need to bounce back in a big way after not just losing in the opening week, but to erase the bad taste of getting embarrassed in the big game to the Eagles. I’ll check in on the rest of the schedule and what to watch for this weekend.

(49:24) College football picks up after a not so good Saturday last week. I’ll see what’s on tap for the third week in the sport.

(52:15) A new NBA rule was announced, which made sense at first, until it didn’t? Plus, the WNBA playoffs will tip off on Saturday. I’ll do my best to preview what to look out for in the coming weeks.

(1:01:22) A big time scorer in the NHL turns down the biggest deal in league history. It’s not who you think, but how will that impact the player who you think it is?

(1:04:49) Boxing will have their night on Saturday as Canelo Alvarez will fight Terence Crawford for the super middleweight championship. Any idea why this bout isn’t getting the love that it deserves?

And MUCH MORE in between.

With the holiday weekend upon us, the final podcast of August promises to keep you on top of all that’s happening in the sports universe. On deck:

(6:28) Are the Mets on the verge of chasing the Phillies in the NL East after a three game sweep at Citi Field? It’s beginning to look like a boring September when it comes to playoff races, as it could be a quiet last month of the baseball season.

(25:56) Terry McLaurin gets the deal he’s been searching down in DC with the Commanders. Same for Trey Hendrickson in Cincinnati. Will the same be said for Cowboys pass rusher Micah Parsons before the season opener next Thursday?

(30:34) College football is back! The schedule begins in earnest tonight, but all eyes are on Columbus as the Texas Longhorns will face Ohio State on Saturday. Why this game is important for QB Arch Manning to beat the defending champs?

(40:27) Were the Knicks this close to hiring Dawn Staley as their head coach? The South Carolina coach blames herself as she explains why she’s not at the helm in New York.

(46:54) Don’t look now, but the Las Vegas Aces are showing why they are a team to be reckoned with come playoff time in the WNBA?

(51:39) All has been mostly quiet at the US Open this week, despite an early exit by a top player on the women’s side.

And MUCH MORE in between.

The middle of August has brought us to a rather quiet sports period, but nevertheless, you’ll get my insight and input on whatever is happening as the latest podcast has arrived. On deck:

(6:20) What is going on with the defending champion Dodgers? Not only do they get swept by their rivals down the freeway (the Angels) but their division foes further down the interstate (the Padres) are now in first place. I’ll dissect if LA is just bored of the regular season or if there are concerns in Dodgerland? I’ll share my thoughts on the latest pennant races, Pete Alonso’s historic home run and more.

(28:45) The NFL preseason moves along with not much going on. Some injured QB news, a signing in Buffalo and whatever else is of importance.

(33:36) New owners in the NBA are the main topic here as the Celtics sale is official, while the Blazers look to stay in Portland thanks to a buyer who’s looking to keep the team there.

(38:36) The Atlanta Dream have taken over second place overall in the WNBA as the New York Liberty have another couple of dates with the Minnesota Lynx with a home and home series starting Saturday in the Twin Cities.

(41:20) UFC 319 is Saturday night as middleweights Dricus Du Plessis and Khamzat Chimaev will fight for the title.

Keeping you informed on all that going on in sports is the game, and if you don’t know by now, you’ll be reminded who’s delivering it by name as yours truly is here with the latest podcast. On deck:

(6:40) Are the Mariners and Brewers on a collision course for late October? It’s way too early to tell, but they’re playing the best baseball at the moment. Or is it possible that they’re peaking too soon? The state of baseball in New York seems to be going from bad to worse with the Yankees and Mets. Plus, the news, notes and playoff races up to the minute.

(41:34) Browns rookie QB Shedeur Sanders made a big first impression with two touchdowns in his debut vs. the Panthers. Is this noteworthy or much ado about nothing? Also, some key injuries to report regarding top offensive lineman. And Cam Heyward wants a raise now?

(51:17) The NBA schedule has been released. It sure looks like the West has won regarding air time on a couple of key nights.

(56:33) The Minnesota Lynx have bigger heights to reach as they take care of their Finals opponent from last year in the Liberty on the road. Is a championship a foregone conclusion at this point?

(1:02:59) Panthers forward Matthew Tkackuk is considering surgery which will sideline him for two to three months. Why is it taking him so long to decide as training camp is a month away?

Closing out the first week of August with a surprisingly packed podcast with enough sports chatter to pique your interest as the latest episode is forthcoming. On deck:

(6:30) The team with the best record in MLB is not who you think. History tells us that October hasn’t been nice to them over the past seven years. Could this year turn out different for the Milwaukee Brewers? The Yankees avoid another sweep and get out of Texas with a wild card spot in tact. As for Devin Williams pitching in late game pressure situations? The Mets are in a tailspin, losing 8 of 9 after a seven game winning streak. Will their fortunes change as they go to play the Brewers over the weekend? And all of the latest playoff races in baseball to date.

(39:10) NFL preseason opens a full slate a games this week while the league’s TV network gets sold to the Worldwide Leader in Sports. Is that a good thing? Plus, the league wants nothing to do with issuing smelling salt to players, during practices or games, but players can purchase them on their own. Could there be long term effects and repercussions because of it? I’ll check in on whatever else is happening throughout training camp as of late.

(50:06) Who is the preseason #1 in college football as the season is a little more than three weeks away?

(52:47) March Madness will not expand in 2026, but the possibility of having 72 or 76 teams in the tournament in 2027 could happen. Why having more doesn’t mean better if this were to become official?

(55:38) The first of three matchups in nine days commences on Sunday between the WNBA Finalists of last year (Lynx & Liberty) Will this be a showcase as to who is the better team in a possible championship rematch in late September?

And MUCH MORE in between.

August is in full swing. The same could be said about the latest podcast as I get set to launch another hour of sports talk to keep you entertained and informed on all that’s happening. On deck:

(6:36) If you want to hear a recap of all the big trades from the MLB deadline, I make a note of where you can listen to it. (Link is below) What has happened to the Yankees as they were inexplicably swept in Miami. Who’s to blame? On the flip side, are the Marlins in consideration for the NL Wild Card race as they’re at .500 and are among the best records in the sport since mid June? I’ll briefly recap the big deals at the trade deadline and see where we’re at in the divisional and wild card standings as August has arrived.

(39:07) Micah Parsons wants out of Dallas, but Jerry Jones is saying “not so fast”. Terry McLaurin also wants a new address in DC, but will the Commanders pull the trigger on a deal? NOTE: Unfortunately, I didn’t mention the two key deadline deals in MLB that took place on Thursday. I get into it right after the NFL segment. My apologies for the delay.

(48:49) Luka Doncic signs an extension with the Lakers. He’s ready to put up a big year in LA with a new physique in tact. Will he first full year in La La Land culminate in a Finals appearance? Mikal Bridges also gets an extension with the Knicks. Will he produce as they make a push in a wide open Eastern Conference?

(57:28) Minnesota Lynx star Napheesa Collier suffers an ankle injury in a blowout win over Las Vegas, but reinforcements are on the way after acquiring last year’s Most Improved Player from Dallas. I’ll go around the W to tap in to see what the latest is on that front.

And MUCH MORE in between.

The last few days of July are upon us and so is the latest podcast detailing all of what the sports world has on its plate. On deck:

(6:29) I have a couple of housekeeping notes as I’ll share the latest commentary video on my YouTube channel for your viewing pleasure. (Link below) And if you’re wondering who that guy is on the video (if you’re watching on Spotify or on YouTube) I’ll explain at the end of the podcast.

(8:59) It was another wild weekend in baseball as the Astros headline the past few days, getting swept at home by the lowly Athletics. In the process, A’s rookie Nick Kurtz did the unthinkable on Friday night with an epic offensive display. With the trade deadline on Thursday, I’ll review the small deals that have taken place to date. Will any big time deals land from the time of this recording?

(33:34) NFL training camps are in full swing, which means Cowboys owner Jerry Jones sticks his foot in his mouth, yet again.

(38:13) Bulls coach Billy Donovan gets an extension to stay in Chicago. Bill Self gets an extension of his life after having two stents put in his heart.

(40:01) The NY Liberty may lose one of their best players for some time as Breanna Stewart suffered a leg injury in a loss on Saturday night.

(43:21) A re-signing in Carolina as the Hurricanes hand out a big payday to one of their young players.

(44:43) Remembering Hulk Hogan as he passed away last week at the age of 71. I’ll share my thoughts on his early career during a time when he went from wrestling star to legend.

It’s a festive, celebratory mood in these parts. Not only doing what it is that I love, chopping it up when it comes to sports, but hitting a milestone that I couldn’t imagine six and a half years ago, so let’s get this sports podcast party started. On deck:

(6:48) This is the 500th Episode of the podcast! I’d be remiss if I didn’t thank you, the listeners/followers/subscribers and fans for your unwavering support, as well as the sponsors and guests who have been a part of this journey.

(11:39) Baseball’s season is coming down to this. Especially in the wild card races in the NL & AL. My beloved Mets won an ENORMOUS, MUST WIN (in my eyes) last night vs. the Phillies as the stage is set to clinch a wild card berth in Atlanta for three games starting tomorrow. Can they slay the demons of seasons past vs. their archrival? How about the Detroit Tigers? They now have the final spot in the AL wild card at the moment, overtaking the Twins who’ve collapsed, although just a game behind the Tigers as of today. Who will come out on top when it’s all said and done? I’ll break all of the latest playoff possibilities heading into the last week of the season. I’ll also get into Shohei Ohtani’s accomplishment of being the first player to hit 50 home runs and steal 50 stolen bases in the same year. Is this the best season by an MLB player ever? How about the historic game vs. Miami? Was that the best game played in the history of the sports? On the flip side, the Chicago White Sox have equaled the worst losing season of all time. Will they stand above the 1962 Mets sooner than later? And what happened to Nationals young star, CJ Abrams pulling an all night bender in Chicago?

(36:50) Week 3 in the NFL had some surprises (Carolina’s blowout win in Las Vegas. A 49ers collapse in LA. A no-show in Dallas by the Cowboys. Same for a Tampa Bay team where Denver ran roughshod over them.) but overall, there wasn’t a lot of excitement or riveting action throughout The Shield on Thursday night/all day Sunday. Would I trade Bryce Young as rumors have come out about teams inquiring about his services?

(55:30) The same could be said for college football Week 4. There were a couple of developments (i.e. Tennessee wins for coach Josh Heupel in Oklahoma. Michigan’s QB throws for 32 yards in a WIN. Utah hangs on to win at Oklahoma State. Arch Manning’s grade against UL-Monroe) but nothing much to write home about as we’re a third of the way into the schedule.

(1:00:32) Sixers center Joel Embiid signs a three year extension with championship expectations abound. Can he deliver considering his body hasn’t held up over the past couple of years? The WNBA playoffs are here. It’s been a hotly contested, compelling, entertaining and deserving of attention season, but unfortunately, I won’t share my thoughts on this. Don’t worry. It’s not the league. It’s yours truly. I’ll explain.

(1:07:24) A heavyweight fight took place in Wembley Stadium where Daniel DuBois disposed of Anthony Joshua in five rounds by KO. Is the heavyweight title fight a shell of its old self? Please subscribe, leave a rating and post a review on Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, Spotify, Audacy, Amazon Music and iHeartRadio or wherever you get your podcasts.
