We’re precisely a week away from the unofficial beginning of summer. Can you believe it? But we’re seconds away from the best sports podcast that covers EVERYTHING, that’s right, I said it. Why? (37:34) The Maple Leafs collapsed yet again, losing to the Panthers in Game 7. Should the organization blow up the team? Add Winnipeg to the list of teams that won the President’s Trophy without capturing a title as they lose in six to Dallas. And the Capitals fall way short of the Cup Finals after losing to the Hurricanes in five. I’ll preview Panthers-Hurricanes & Oilers-Stars and what Final would be the most attractive?

(54:59) Juan Soto’s return to The Bronx was forgetful as the Mets lose two out of three to the Yankees. The shocking Twins 13 game winning streak, which was snapped yesterday in Milwaukee. How about the Angels sweeping the Dodgers in LA? I’ll see what else is happening throughout the sport as Memorial Day looms next week.

(1:10:10) 49ers QB Brock Purdy signs a five year, $265 million dollar deal to stay in San Francisco. Is he worth it?

(1:15:27) Scottie Scheffler finally wins a major out of Augusta as he wins the PGA Championship yesterday. What about Jordan Spieth? Rory McIlroy?

The sports universe intensifies as we’ve hit the middle of May. I’m here to break it all down for you as the latest podcast is here. On deck:

Ready, set, go as I’m flying out of the gate capturing all that’s happened and what to possibly expect throughout the sports universe as the latest podcast is here. On deck:

(6:36) I’d be remiss if I didn’t acknowledge the soldiers, servicemen and women in our country, fighting for our nation and protecting our freedom here on this Veteran’s Day.

(7:01) We’re now ten weeks into the NFL season, finally past the halfway mark. I’ll express the good, bad and ugly of what has transpired over the first two plus months of the year. Has it been a season to remember at this point? I’ll recap all of the action of the weekend, including a big Steelers win in Washington. The Lions getting out of Houston alive with a victory. And the Chiefs are still unbeaten.

(34:22) College football continues to surprise as there were more upsets on Saturday. Did Georgia take a severe hit to their playoff chances losing at Ole Miss? What about Miami upended at Georgia Tech? You know LSU is out after suffering a blowout defeat at home vs. Alabama. And BYU survives after a controversial call to stay unbeaten and in the mix to qualify for the 12 team playoff next month. How will the committee dissect this after Saturday’s games?

(46:13) Don’t look now, but the NBA In Season Tournament begins tomorrow! Will yours truly get wrapped up over the next month with the culmination in Las Vegas? What has gone on with the Milwaukee Bucks? The free fall continues, but this falls on one person as to why they’re a far cry from the championship level team of a few years ago. I’ll check on what else is going on in the Association before pivoting to…

(58:02)…the latest on the ice. The Winnipeg Jets have set an NHL record for the best start to a season ever. They’re on pace for 77 wins. Can they keep this up? Alex Ovechkin scored two more goals to leave him 32 away from surpassing The Great One all time in the history of the sport. I’ll peek on how other teams are faring after the first month of the season.

(1:03:40) The MLB hot stove has cooled off a bit. Although there is one glaring question surrounding the most coveted free agent, Juan Soto. Are there any other teams besides the Yankees & Mets that will entertain discussions with the slugging outfielder? Plus, a new manager surfaces in Miami and a familiar one comes back in The Bronx, but is a lame duck heading into 2025.

Your boy is playing injured as I’m battling a hoarse voice that came out of nowhere, but that won’t stop me from sharing my thoughts and opinions on ALL that’s taking place in sports. On deck:

(6:40) The LA Dodgers took care of business at home winning the first two games of the World Series. Now the scene shifts to New York for the next two (at least) maybe three games. Is this Fall Classic, for all intents and purposes, over? I’ll explain why that’s not the case and make a play for the Yankees to draw even in the Series for a pivotal Game 5 on Wednesday night? I’ll unpack the managing of Aaron Boone and Dave Roberts, how Aaron Judge is becoming playoff A-Rod prior to his 2009 run and how many people have watched and paid attention to the heavyweight matchup.

(29:04) We’re approaching the halfway point of the NFL season. Week 8 had some good (Jayden Daniels Hail Mary and success in DC), bad (the AFC East, and both Souths have been clinched?) and the ugly (the Jets have hit rock bottom) are the key highlights from Sunday’s action. I’ll also get on Ravens coach John Harbaugh, Tua’s return to Miami, another vicious play by the Saints defense, the Packers get out of Jacksonville alive, are the Bengals done and can the NFL upstage Election Day?

(51:14) College football in Week 9 was mostly quiet, although the big game was Texas A&M coming from behind after a big gamble changing quarterbacks. It catapulted them to a 38-23 win over LSU. Where do the Aggies stand in the college football playoff as the first announcement of the rankings will be tomorrow?

(56:12) The NBA is just about a week old with the Lakers back where they belong, 3-0 at the top of the West. Kevin Durant reaches a lofty milestone, with another one forthcoming. Steph Curry suffered an ankle sprain which could keep him out of the lineup for the foreseeable future.

(59:46) Break up the Jets! Not the football team. The hockey team as they are 8-0 to begin the season. How long will this streak last? Same could be said about the San Jose Sharks who haven’t won as of yet. Teams that have recovered from slow starts are the Avalanche, Predators and Hurricanes. The Rangers sign their 2020 #1 overall pick, Alexis Lafreniere to a seven year deal as he’s slowly becoming one of the top players in the league.

(1:03:48) There was a UFC fight on Saturday night where Ilia Topuria surprisingly KO’s Max Holloway in the third round, the first time that’s happened to Holloway. Could a rematch be in the works?
