Roll Tide! College Football Playoff Storylines. Loaded AFC, Week 12 Winners & Losers. MLB Armageddon Has Begun. Suns Peak at 18! Tiger's Return?

December is off to a tremendous sports start and here to share my thoughts, opinions and analysis of it all as Episode #227 is full of passion and fire that you won't hear anywhere else. On deck:

(5:40) The end of a very intriguing college football regular season came to a close where it's a movie that we've seen plenty over the years. The Alabama Crimson Tide are riding high from their dismantling of the Georgia Bulldogs in the SEC Championship Game. What does this victory mean for this 'Bama team? What about the psyche of Georgia? I'll recap this game, Oklahoma State's brutal loss to Baylor, Michigan's thrashing of Iowa and Cincinnati keeping their unbeaten season alive as I'll showcase each of the Final Four teams storylines as we sit and wait for the college football playoff on New Year's Eve. Lastly, I'll chime in on some of the coaching changes that took place (i.e. USC, LSU & Oklahoma) and was it right for Lincoln Riley and Brian Kelly to leave their teams hanging for greener pastures?

(37:44) Week 13 in the NFL was, ehhhh! You had a couple of fantastic finishes in Detroit and Pittsburgh, but not a lot of shocks or surprises as I discuss my winners (Chargers & Lions) and losers (49ers & Broncos) of the week. I'll preview how important of a Monday night game it is for the Buffalo Bills as they face off vs. New England. I'll share my thoughts on a jam packed AFC as 12 teams are still alive in the playoff race. I'll get into how rabid yours truly gets when watching a Ravens-Steelers game and how that game came down to the wire. Of course, I'll look ahead into Week 14 as there are some good matchups on the schedule as we inch closer to the conclusion of the regular season.

(1:08:16) The MLB offseason has been put on ice as the collective bargaining agreement has expired. What now? What is the issue between the players and owners? Are the owners hypocrites for doling out huge deals to date, when they're trying to cut costs? I'll get into it all, even come up with a possible timeframe for when this should be done if they plan on getting next season started on time AND what does this mean for players like Freddie Freeman, Carlos Correa, Trevor Story, Kris Bryant who haven't signed as of yet?

(1:19:25) The Phoenix Suns were shining bright as they were able to pull off an 18 game winning streak. No NBA Finals hangover for Chris Paul & company. Can they continue to put the pressure and threaten the Warriors and get back to another Finals appearance? And what happened to the Oklahoma City Thunder? They lost by how many to a Ja Morant-less Memphis Grizzlies team? You know I've got a couple of things to say about this. There been a couple of key injuries (i.e. Damian Lillard & Bam Adebayo) to the Blazers and Heat. Also, have the Knicks started to bottom out after a 5-1 start?

(1:25:53) There's a new #1 in college basketball as Duke loses to Ohio State last week, so the Purdue Boilermakers step up to the top spot in a pretty topsy turvy start to the college basketball season.

(1:27:40) A couple of coaches have walked the plank in the NHL in Vancouver & Philadelphia. (i.e. Travis Green & Alain Vigneault) and the Islander losing streak (11) has reached new lows. Is it too late for them to dig out of this crater that they've caused?

(1:30:01) Tiger Woods was in the news as he had a press conference last week to discuss his recovery, how grateful he is and when can we see him back on the golf course?

(1:33:32) In closing, my Hero and Zero of the Week.

Another Ho-Hum NFL Sunday. RIP 2021 Steelers. Michigan Slays Dragon. Mets Spending To The 'Max'. Suns Scorching. Zags Zig. Brooks Bests Bryson

As you polish off your Thanksgiving leftovers, I'll serve up plenty of dessert to satisfy your sports tooth as Episode #226 is primed and ready to go. On deck:

(5:39) It was another ho-hum weekend for the NFL after an underwhelming Thanksgiving holiday schedule as the season continues to drag along. I'll highlight the winners (Buffalo & San Francisco) and losers (an early epitaph for my beloved Pittsburgh Steelers) and other key takeaways (The officiating throughout the league. The end of Cam Newton. New England's success. I'm still not sold. I explain why. A look at the Week 13 slate. The first ballot nominees for the Pro Football Hall of Fame and more.)

(35:37) The college football season has superseded the NFL, in my opinion, as Jim Harbaugh FINALLY slayed the Ohio State Buckeye dragon as they upend their rivals and their playoff chances in the process. Is it time to celebrate in Ann Arbor? Why this win isn't the end all, be all for the Wolverines? I'll discuss the chances for Alabama as they'll face the #1 team in the country in Georgia. Do they have a shot? Also, will some potential fresh blood in the Final Four bring morePlus, all of the other possibilities for teams to sneak into the top four (i.e. Notre Dame, Oklahoma St. and Baylor) as Conference Championship Week is on the horizon.

(49:57) MLB has surprised yours truly as there has been plenty of activity on the transaction front, with the Mets being at the forefront of the free agent party, which delivered four players including three time Cy Young Award winner, Max Scherzer (NOTE: This was made official after recording, but I do share some thoughts on it.) Are the Mets done with improving their team? What other reinforcements do they need to compete? Will the top shortstops (i.e. Carlos Correa, Trevor Story, Corey Seager, Javier Baez) among others, get signed before the Collective Bargaining Agreement expires at midnight on December 1st? I'll have a hot take on that, as well as, how shrewd were the Tampa Bay Rays were in signing budding superstar, Wander Franco to a long term deal? (Although it comes with a caveat) And I know the Yankees and Brian Cashman are laying in the weeds as I'm sure a blockbuster trade and/or free agent signing is forthcoming.

(1:09:17) The NBA season is at the quarter mark. Besides the Warriors being a top story to date, the Suns have been scorching out West nipping at the heels of Golden State. The East has been a log jam early on as 13 teams are separated by six games. There was no fallout from the Pistons and Lakers second go round, where Isaiah Stewart and LeBron James were suspended last week, but will there be any carryover in Miami as Nikola Jokic and Markieff Morris re-acquaint themselves after their run-in a few weeks back in Denver?

(1:13:52) College basketball talk before December? You better believe it as I'll get into Gonzaga's busy week where they destroy #2 UCLA (which was a far cry from the Final Four game back in April) but then lose a tight one against #5 Duke. Even #4 Kansas was upset by Dayton as the sport is looking to take a page out of what the college football season has exhibited to this point.

(1:17:40) The Islanders season has now taken a turn for the worse as they've played more home games than they've won AND scored goals combined! (Four home games, three goals scored, zero games won) Now, with a COVID outbreak throughout the team that's postponed a few games from their schedule, it begs the question. Is this break a blessing or a curse? The Canadiens front office has cleaned house as GM Marc Bergevin has been fired where assistant GM, Scott Mellanby, stepped down abruptly. Is there something going on in Montreal that we don't know about? And where will former Sharks forward, Evander Kane end up, now that he's a free agent?

(1:25:01) I'll touch on the charity golf event between Brooks Koepka vs. Bryson Dechambeau in where the post match interviews between the two were more entertaining than what took place on the course as Koepka dominates Dechambeau over the 12 hole contest.

(1:27:00) Lastly, I'll have my Hero and Zero of the Week.

Colts Stampede, Titan-ic Upset Highlights NFL WK 12 Winners & Losers. Ohio St.: Hottest Team In Nation? Lakers Malaise. Islanders Sinking. MLB Signings

As you prepare to give thanks for all that's in your life through food, family and football, I'll be sure to set the table with all of the fixins and serve up some hard hitting sports talk to whet your appetite as Episode #225 is hot out of the oven! On deck:

(6:50) The NFL had a very interesting Week 11, with some surprising winners (i.e. MIN & IND) and shocking losers (i.e. TEN & BUF) as I cover all that happened throughout the league. Is it time to take the Colts seriously? What about the Patriots? Can the Eagles make a run in the NFC East? Is the Chief defense for real? I'll share a take or two on the Steelers wild comeback falling short vs. the Chargers. I'll take an early peek at the Thanksgiving games (HINT: Not too much to write home about!) and a captivating Week 12 schedule to cap off your holiday weekend.

(40:36) The college football season continues to impress as there were not one, but two teams, that drop out of the running for the playoff set for New Year's Eve as Michigan State and Oregon were embarrassed on Saturday. What does this mean for Cincinnati? Are they an automatic to make the college football playoff? Is Ohio State the hottest team in the country? I'll preview what will be a fascinating slate of games this weekend, highlighted by the grudge match at the Big House between Ohio St. vs. Michigan.

(55:58) The Lakers (aka The Expendables) haven't been able to get in sync during the early part of the season. The big news was the fracas in Detroit where LeBron James whacked Isaiah Stewart across the face after a free throw attempt. Will this team get out of their malaise any time soon? I compare them to another veteran team of the past that had their shortcomings, but made it to an NBA Final in the process. I'll also get into the potential return of Klay Thompson, the first coach fired this season comes from the Sacramento Kings, a huge loss for the Cleveland Cavaliers, the Phoenix Suns torrid streak and other top stories from the past week in the Association.

(1:06:00) The Islanders have ended their 13 game odyssey throughout North America with two home games in their brand spanking new arena (UBS Arena) over the past weekend. But when they ended their long road trip with a four game losing streak, only to top it off with two more losses at home, which begs the question. Will they be able to turn it around quickly and not fall any deeper in the Eastern Conference? I'll discuss the latest with a key player from the two time defending Cup champions going out indefinitely with an injury (TB's Brayden Point), a COVID breakout in Ottawa and the Thanksgiving Friday game which has become an annual matchup between two original six teams (i.e. Rangers-Bruins)

(1:15:53) There's been some activity in free agency throughout baseball with the impending doom of the collective bargaining agreement expiring on December 1st. Some pitchers have re-signed with their team (Toronto's Jose Berrios) and some have changed addresses, which includes former Mets starter, Noah Syndergaard. So you know I have a couple of things to get off of my chest about this. The Yankees are posturing for a big off-season, but again, baseball armageddon is coming. Will it be a long, cold, hard winter for the sport? I also have a few choice words for super agent Scott Boras as he chimes in about how teams are 'tanking' before the trade deadline and how it affects business with his clients.

(1:22:54) Welterweight Terence Crawford wins in a 10th round TKO over Shawn Porter on Saturday night. Is there a chance that we can see a fight with Errol Spence, Jr. on the horizon?

(1:24:59) In closing, my Hero and Zero of the Week.

The NFL's Disappointing First Half! Week 10 Winners & Losers! Bye-Bye Oklahoma. Michigan Survives. Golden State's Surprise Start. Coach K's Final Lap. Ovechkin's Quest

I'm in a shockingly cranky sports mood to start, but it makes for a compelling podcast as Episode #224 delivers top notch analysis and opinions on all that's happening in the sports landscape. On deck:

(5:27) The NFL is passed the halfway point of the season. To put it nicely, this hasn't been one to write home about. I get into why it's been a disappointing season to date. I'll get into my winners (Chiefs, Patriots) and losers (Ravens, Broncos) of the week, go through another less than exciting week of games, culminated by the dreadful performance of the 16-16 tie between the Lions vs. Steelers, which YOU KNOW, I'll have a thing or two to share about that!

(30:39) The Oklahoma Sooners are the next team that have kissed their playoff chances goodbye, but the talk was about what Baylor did at the end of the game. Was it right for Baylor coach, Dave Aranda to kick a meaningless field goal as time expired? Plus, Michigan pulled out a huge victory at Penn State to keep their playoff hopes alive. I'll have an up to the minute look at the college football playoff landscape.

NFL Takes Shots To The 'Shield' (Rodgers, Ruggs & Odell) WK 9 Winners/Losers, Michigan St. Meltdown, Suns Sarver Next In Line To Go? Eichel To Vegas: Who Won The Deal? Canelo: All Time Great?

Another sport has crowned a champion, so the fall sports are now front and center. I've got all that's shaking throughout the entire landscape as Episode #223 is chock full of opinions, analysis and critiques ready for your listening pleasure. On deck:

(6:07) With baseball out of our consciousness, all of early part of the NBA, NHL seasons, the teeth of the college football schedule about to be played, it's going to be all about The Shield (a.k.a. The NFL) They went through a week that they'd like to forget as the league had to endure one its players involved in a fatal car accident (i.e. Henry Ruggs) a positive COVID test and spoken untruth from arguably its best player (i.e. Aaron Rodgers) and drama surrounding its talented, yet mercurial wide receiver (i.e. Odell Beckham, Jr.) as he gets his release from the Cleveland Browns. Of course, I'll discuss my winners (Denver & Cleveland) and losers (Buffalo, LA Rams, New Orleans) of Week 9 and how this season has been underwhelming to date.

(40:22) The craziness of college football has come to roost yet again as Michigan State falls by the wayside and are on the outside looking in for the playoffs come New Year's Eve. I'll detail the week that was in the sport, including an early look as to who I see making it to the college football playoff late next month.

(50:56) I'll recap a World Series championship win by the Atlanta Braves, as unexpected of a Series run that we've seen. Now, we must fasten our seatbelts for what looks like a long, cold, hard winter of negotiations as the owners and players will have to come up with a new CBA (Collective Bargaining Agreement) which will most likely be a fight to the bitter end. Will there be a new agreement in time for the 2022 season? Will it be delayed? Postponed?

(56:17) The NBA is going to have to deal with another scenario regarding an owner with alleged racist and misogynistic comments as Robert Sarver of the Suns has been reported in the past week by ESPN. Even with the investigation ongoing, what should the NBA do? Is Sarver on his way out? I'll also take a trip around the Association to see what's the latest, including normalcy is back in the Eastern Conference, Joel Embiid will have to sit out due to a positive COVID test and is this the beginning of the end of LeBron James's indestructibility.

(1:03:52) The ongoing saga in Buffalo with center Jack Eichel has come to an end. He gets dealt to the Vegas Golden Knights for players and draft picks. Who got the better of the deal? Plus, Sidney Crosby's return to the ice from a wrist injury was brief (i.e. COVID) and the rest of what's happening on the ice as we're closing in on the first complete month of the NHL season.

(1:13:27) Canelo Alvarez has unified all four titles in the super middleweight division. With his record (57-1-2, 39 KO's) is he considered an all time great fighter in the history of boxing?

(1:20:05) In MMA, Kamaru Usman defeats longtime rival Colby Covington in a close decision on Saturday night as they've competed in ten fights! Is this one time (or five times) too many? Has this matchup become tiresome?

(1:22:50) Of course, I wrap up with my Hero and Zero of the Week.

Series Shifts To Houston. Can Astros Complete Comeback? NFL WK 8 Winners & Losers. Big Ten Flops In College Football. Who's On Top Of NBA East? Blackhawks Black Eye With Sexual Assault Case

A new day, new week and new month as November ushers into our consciousness so even with the leaves changing and the temperature dropping, the sports world continues to stay hot as I'll have plenty to say about it as Episode #222 is ready for your listening pleasure. On deck:

(6:53) The World Series has now made its turn past the weekend and into a Game 6 in Houston. I'll recap all that took place to this point as the Astros stave off elimination. Can the Astros extend this series? Will the Braves win Game 6? Or 7? What is a potential key factor the Astros as they do their best to push this series to a decisive winner take all, Game 7? I'll get into the length of these World Series games. What can they do to fix it? And can any of these hitters take a strike especially in the later innings? I'll also talk about the Padres hire of former A's manager, Bob Melvin. And the Mets continued, but failing pursuit for a VP of baseball operations and skipper to lead this franchise next year.

(33:56) NFL Week 8 had some intriguing outcomes as we inch closer to the midway point of the season. I'll share my winners (GB, NO) and losers (CIN, CLE) of the week. It's time for Odell Beckham Jr. to be dealt from Cleveland and other notes as I look back on the schedule this past Sunday.

(52:47) The Big Ten schedule has begun their Battle Royale slate as Michigan loses a brutal game to their in-state rivals, Michigan State. Iowa couldn't muster up any offense vs. Wisconsin and Penn State's comeback fell short vs. Ohio State as those games were the highlight in college football this past week. Does Michigan still have a shot at college football's Final Four? What about Michigan State?

(1:01:28) Who would've thought that the top of the Eastern Conference after two weeks would have the Knicks, Wizards, Bulls and Hornets as teams above the Sixers, Bucks, Nets and Celtics in the standing? Are these teams for real? Can they sustain this early season success?

(1:06:35) The Chicago Blackhawks have gone through the ringer and the season is only three weeks old. They've had several players come down with COVID, have not been able to win a game to date, but its the fallout from the sexual assault allegations regarding a former assistant coach towards a player, Kyle Beach, more than a decade ago that has rocked the organization and the league. In the process, the former coach, Joel Quenneville, who was in Florida coaching the Panthers, has resigned. I'll discuss the after effects of this sad and sordid story and take a look around the ice for the latest and greatest in the NHL.

(1:17:03) In closing, I have my Hero and Zero of the Week.

Please subscribe, leave a rating and post a review on Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, Spreaker, Stitcher, Spotify, Luminary, Amazon Music and iHeartRadio or wherever you get your podcasts.

Astros Exorcism On Deck? Upstart Braves Make Series Return! Are The Bengals For Real? Big Ten Battle Royale! Time To Ship Ben Simmons, But Where? NBA 75th All Time Team Snubs & Misses

As we enter the week of Halloween, the sports world always has a couple of treats, but quite a few tricks. I'll pass out some of the good and bad as Episode #221 is ready for consumption. On deck:

(5:09) Baseball fans! The Fall Classic is set! I'll review the roads that the Houston Astros and Atlanta Braves took to get to the World Series, the storylines of this upcoming series and how they'll fare as they shoot for a championship (and I'll have a prediction, of course). I'll also get into how the Boston Red Sox and Los Angeles Dodgers limp into the offseason, the Cardinals fire and hire a new manager and should former Giants GM Brian Sabean receive a call from the New York Mets about their front office position?

(33:35) NFL Week 7 was a complete atrocity. The schedule produced a lot of lopsided scores as it was a week to forget. I'll have my winners (CIN, LV) and losers (KC, SF) and take a peek at at Week 8 slate that looks just as bad as Week 7.

(47:32) Penn St. becomes the latest top ranked team to take an 'L' in college football, but the battle royale will begin in the Big Ten starting this weekend as the schedule intensifies in the conference. I'll discuss that, as well as, will Alabama get picked off before the SEC Championship Game based on their recent sloppy play?

(55:55) The Lakers and Nets have gotten off to not so good starts, but the talk in the Association is the saga of Ben Simmons and his likely departure in Philadelphia. What should the 76ers do? How will they go about getting rid of the mercurial point guard? I'll check on the hot and cold starts to some of the teams throughout the league. And you know, I have to add my two shiny red pennies to the NBA's 75th Anniversary Team. How I disagree with a couple of selections and a few snubs that's getting traction, but not with yours truly. You won't want to miss on what I have to say about that!

(1:14:38) The NHL is into its second week. The Blackhawks are the latest team to get hit by COVID and they haven't won a game so far this season. I'll go through some of the teams that are making waves to this point and the others that surprisingly are scuffling out of the gate.

(1:17:57) And to close, there's my Hero and Zero of the Week.

Is An Astros/Dodgers Collision Course Likely? Gone Gruden/NFL Week 6 Winners & Losers. #2 Iowa Upended/College Coaches In The News. 2021-22 NBA Preview. Gonzaga's Preseason #1

The podcast may have been postponed by a day, but that means more to divulge from yours truly, as I'll delve into everything that the sports world has to offer as Episode #220 is hot off of the presses. On deck:

(5:34) I start off the podcast with a little housekeeping as I discuss my whereabouts over the past week, as to why I didn't release my usual Monday podcast yesterday.

(7:45) The MLB postseason gets us off the deck. It hasn't been the most memorable or one to remember just yet. I'll go over why it's been underwhelming to this point (i.e. White Sox, Rays and Brewers.) The controversial 'check swing' call in the Division Series finale between the Dodgers and Giants. (Although it didn't affect the outcome of the situation. I'll explain!) I'll bring you up to speed on the current state of the AL & NLCS, which begs the question? Can the Astros and Dodgers fight back to win their respective series with a date for a World Championship on the line? What would be the best World Series matchup of the final four teams left? Also, the Yankees re-sign Aaron Boone as their manager, but for how long?

(27:01) NFL Week 6 had its moments, but it was overshadowed by the resignation of Raiders head coach, Jon Gruden. I have a thought on that, in connection with the Washington Football Team and owner Daniel Snyder as to get his feet to the fire on all that's taken place down in the Nation's Capital over the past decade. I'll share my winners (BAL & JAX) and losers (CLE, CHI) of the week. As well as, the bloom is off of the rose regarding CBS color commentator Tony Romo as his schtick has become tiresome, in my eyes.

(48:42) The Iowa Hawkeyes caused a stir as the latest in the top four of college football to lose and plummet in the rankings. Even bigger news was reported off the field as three coaches (LSU's Ed Orgeron's exit at the end of the year, Texas A&M's Jimbo Fisher shooting down rumors to LSU and Washington State's Nick Rolovich was jettisoned because he did not get vaccinated prior to the deadline set by the administration.) Plus, an early look at the upcoming schedules in the Big Ten over the next month and change for Ohio State, Michigan, Penn State and Michigan State.

(59:32) The NBA tips off its 75th season and I have lots to dive into as far as storylines (i.e. Are we destined for a Nets-Lakers Finals? The soap opera that is the Nets (i.e. Kyrie Irving). Why Anthony Davis is the key to winning a championship? Can Utah and Phoenix rebound from great regular seasons last year?) among other questions throughout the league. I'll have a preview, my over/under numbers, an NBA Finals prediction and what will the NBA's 75th Anniversary Team will look like?

(1:26:29) The NHL season is a week old. Just a couple of things to get into whether it's the Kraken's first ever victory, Islanders slow start, an early injury impacting the back to back Cup winning Tampa Bay Lightning and the troubles continue in the life of Sharks forward, Evander Kane, as he's been suspended for 21 games because of established violation of COVID protocols.

(1:29:28) College basketball, anyone? I'll discuss who the preseason #1 is and go through the top 10 as this sport will make its way into our stratosphere in the not too distant future.

(1:30:53) As always, to close out, my Hero and Zero of the Week.

Rays On The Ropes/MLB Postseason Update, Chiefs Ineptitude Headline WK 5 Winners & Losers, 'Bama Done For Playoff? 21-22 NHL Preview. Fury-Wilder III A Classic?

It was a busy sports week throughout the landscape so you know I got you covered as Episode #219 is ready to rumble with some fast paced, action packed sports talk. On deck:

(5:08) I start off with some housekeeping to forewarn you about playing injured as I battle through the podcast with a very hoarse voice.

(6:28) I recap the past week of the MLB playoffs as I get into the controversy of Game 3 with the ground rule double of the Red Sox-Rays. Can the Rays save their historic regular season and push the series to a decisive fifth game? The Astros took a 2-0 series lead, but the White Sox have made it interesting, amidst reports of a Sox pitcher claiming that there may be some sign stealing going on. Can the Astros close them out in their own park? In the National League, the Dodgers evened up their hotly contested series against their bitter rivals in San Francisco. Can the defending champs close out the 107 regular season win Giants? And will the Braves be able to upset the Brewers in a low scoring couple of games that led to a split in Milwaukee? I'll also discuss the exits of two managers in San Diego and my beloved Mets as they'll be in search mode for a new skipper.

(24:38) The week (five) that was in the NFL was rather quiet despite a couple of exciting games. I'll get into the winners (Rams & Eagles) and losers (Chiefs & Raiders as I go in on both teams, including the controversy surrounding Raider coach, Jon Gruden's comments a decade ago) and everything else that went down (ahem, Jaguars coach, Urban Meyer), including a look into Week 6 (which looks to be more of a bore) of the schedule.

(44:51) College football had a classic Red River Shootout (Oklahoma vs. Texas), but the Alabama Crimson Tide losing at Texas A&M was the top story of Saturday. What are their chances of making the college football playoff now that they've dropped to #5 in the nation? Plus, all of the other action as the top of the heap continues to flip flop as the drama builds in the sport.

(55:52) The fall and winter sports will usher in over the next two weeks. Up first, is the NHL as I'll preview the top storylines (Lightning three-peat? Kraken's inaugural season, Maple Leafs rebound from playoff disappointment. CORRECTION: The Maple Leafs did not win the Eastern Conference last year. It was the Northern Division), go through the divisions and present a Stanley Cup Final prediction and winner, which may or may not surprise you!

(1:09:17) I'll spend a minute or two on the damage control by the representation of Sixers guard, Ben Simmons as he's losing money by the second as he continues to not report to the team. Why this is going to be irreparable with the fans and the impact that it'll have if he stays in Philadelphia?

(1:10:39) There was a heavyweight fight in boxing as the third fight between Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder squaring off in Vegas turned out to be an absolute slugfest. Was it an instant classic?

(1:13:02) To close out, my Hero and Zero of the Week.

(1:15:39) I'll also have a programming note for next week's podcast that you won't want to miss.

MLB Postseason Storylines, Wild Card & Division Series Predictions. Brady's Return To NE Highlights NFL Week 4 Winners & Losers. Cincy's Quest To FBS Playoff? Kyrie's Saga As Season Looms

One of the best, if not, the best sports month of the year has arrived as we've turned the calendar to October and here to deliver all that the sports world has to offer as Episode #218 is ready to be streamed, downloaded and consumed. On deck:

(5:38) I have to vent about how my current sports life, to put it bluntly, sucks right about now! I'll get into why I start off this podcast in such a feisty mood.

(10:17) The marathon of a baseball season is over. Now it's onto the Hunt for Red October as the postseason is about to commence. I'll dive into the top storylines on the eve of the playoffs, key injuries, the matchups of the Wild Card and Division Series, with some early predictions as the chase for the World Series Trophy is all set.

(33:19) I highlight the winners (i.e. Arizona & Seattle) and losers (Tennessee & New Orleans) of Week 4 in the NFL. It was a rather ho-hum Sunday throughout the league, but the biggest game in several years took place as the return of Tom Brady to his old stomping grounds in Foxborough as the Buccaneers squeaked by the Patriots in a much ballyhooed matchup between the defending Super Bowl champs and Bill Belichick. I'll delve into all that transpired this past week for Brady and his former team. I'll even share a thought on the announcement of the Super Bowl halftime show of Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Kendrick Lamar and Mary J. Blige.

(55:55) Look out college football, but there may be an underdog that's here to stay in the playoff scenario as the Cincinnati Bearcats upset the Notre Dame Fightin' Irish, which begs the question, can they possibly be a representative for the Final Four come New Years' Eve? I'll breakdown the potential angles of how they can make it, plus, quite a few top teams take a hit to their championship aspirations (i.e. Arkansas, Notre Dame, Florida and Oregon) in another wild and wacky Saturday in the sport.

(1:04:31) The NBA season starts in just two weeks. Vaccinations in two locales (i.e. New York and San Francisco) have become hot topics, in particular for Nets point guard, Kyrie Irving. I'll have an update on him and Warriors guard Andrew Wiggins as the league prepares for the upcoming 75th anniversary of the Association.

(1:07:02) An interesting story has come about in the NHL regarding Vegas goalie, Robin Lehner and how there's been medical malpractice throughout the league when it comes to abusing pharmaceuticals. Will this been an ongoing story as the league raises its curtain a week from tomorrow?

(1:09:41) As always, I conclude with my Hero and Zero of the Week.

NFL WK 3 Winners (LAC, CIN) & Losers (DET, NYG/NYJ, NFL) Bye Bye Clemson, Arkansas Surging! Cards White Hot, Yanks Red Hot. US 'Rydes' High Over Europe. Simmons Done In PHI: The Fallout

Autumn is in the air as we're already looking ahead to October. But first, we have lots of business to cover in the sports world as Episode #216 is in full effect. On deck:

(6:14) Another wacky, zany week in the NFL as it did not disappoint with last second record breaking field goals, last second field goals in general, record breaking run backs were in store as I highlight my winners (LAC, CIN) and losers (DET, NYG/NYJ & the NFL) Wait! The NFL? Yes. Them. I'll also address the Steelers issues and how it may not get better soon. The obvious hype and hoopla leading into the biggest game of the year as Tom Brady heads to Foxborough to face his old team in New England on Sunday Night Football.

(48:20) As I recap a ho-hum college football week, we won't have to worry about Clemson getting back to a college playoff as they've suffered their second loss and we haven't even hit October. Also, will Arkansas continue to make waves in the sport as they're off to a hot start, but with a visit to #2 Georgia on Saturday and a trip to Alabama later in the season, they certainly have their work cut out to stake their claim as a top program in the country.

(55:35) The Cardinals have steamrolled to the second wild card in the NL, winners of 16 in a row. Have they peaked too soon? As for the Yankees, they've streaked to the top of the AL wild card with six games to go. Will they hang on to host a postseason home game next Tuesday? Will the Phillies catch the Braves? Who'll win the NL West. I'll provide an up to the second pennant race update as to who may qualify and who'll be left out?

(1:08:43) The Ryder Cup provided little to no drama as the Americans destroyed the Europeans in convincing fashion, 19-9. What was the turning point? What was the fuel that led to the US winning decisively? Have Brooks Koepka and Bryson Dechambeau buried the hatchet to their long standing feud?

(1:14:08) NBA training camps will open up this week and Kyrie Irving is already in the news (i.e. vaccinations), but the big story is what's taking place in Philadelphia with the Ben Simmons saga as he wants out and won't report to camp. What affect will this have on the team? Which team will help broker this impending divorce?

(1:21:01) A couple of NHL news and notes regarding the Penguins Evgeni Malkin, the Sabres Jack Eichel and the Wild sign their future and rookie of the year, Kirill Kaprizov.

(1:22:41) As always, in closing, my Hero and Zero of the Week.

Padres & Yanks Playoff Hopes Dashed? Cardinals Fly To NL Wild Card! NFL Week 2 Winners/Losers. Concern For Crimson Tide? Koepka/DeChambeau Co-Exist At Ryder Cup? Chara Missing Link For NY!?

Autumn is on deck here in 2021, but so is the latest Episode #215 as it delivers nothing but fire, passion and intensity as I bring you up to speed on all that's happening in the world of sports. Here's what's on tap:

(5:56) We're into the homestretch of the MLB season and the Wild Card chase is front and center as two of its preseason favorites (i.e. Padres & Yankees) are on the cusp of early vacations this fall. Will they fare well over the last two weeks and make the playoffs? As for the teams that are riding high, the Cardinals are primed to play the winner of the Dodgers or Giants as they've steamrolled to the second spot of the Wild Card race. I'll have an up to the minute recap of all that's going on in the pennant races throughout the AL & NL and put to rest the 2021 NY Mets and the wonderful documentary, Once Upon A Time in Queens, the ESPN 30 For 30 Documentary on the 1986 Mets.

(37:14) NFL Week 2 had some tense moments, but overall wasn't captivating any of the fans hearts or imaginations. My winners (Ravens, Raiders) and losers (Saints, Seahawks) highlight this past week, as well as, thoughts on my beloved Steelers in losing to Las Vegas at home, the rest of the schedule this past Sunday and my knockout pick for Week 3.

(56:08) Is there concern for the Alabama defense? They displayed a few warts that we haven't seen for some time. Could there be a loss on their schedule in the near future? Is QB Bryce Young on the fast track to a Heisman Trophy? I'll review the latest rankings in this rather quiet Week 3 in college football, with a look to an even quieter Week 4.

(1:04:49) The Ryder Cup kicks off the weekend this Friday at Whistling Straits in Wisconsin. How will the Americans play against their breathren overseas? Will the Bryson Dechambeau-Brooks Koepka rivalry come to a boil during this tournament? Also, as good as he's been of late, how is Patrick Cantlay the #1 player in the world? I'll share some thoughts on this.

(1:10:00) As NHL training camp approaches, the Islanders signed a player whose career comes full circle, but may be impactful. Is Zdeno Chara the missing piece that the team needs to get themselves to the Stanley Cup? Will his leadership and experience be enough to put them over the top?

(1:15:23) The Association is kind of low key, but there are a couple of things to discuss. John Wall and the Rockets have agreed to a divorce. What teams may be in play? The announcement of new Bucks play by play TV announcer is historic. Clippers owner, Steve Ballmer, has his sights set on a new arena in Inglewood to establish some presence and identity in LA, to distance themselves from their current roommates, the Lakers (aka The Expendables).

(1:19:23) To wrap up, I'll have my Hero and Zero of the Week.

Please subscribe, leave a rating and post a review on Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, Spreaker, Stitcher, Spotify, Luminary, Amazon Music and iHeartRadio or wherever you get your podcasts.

Cards Dealin', Packers Reelin' Highlight NFL Week 1. Subway Series Sparks Wild Card Race For Mets/Yanks. Ducks Soar Up CFB Polls. No Calendar Slam For Novak At US Open

I'm ready to rock another action packed, fast paced sports podcast party and everyone is invited as Episode #214 is online ready for consumption. On deck:

(5:21) Week 1 of the NFL did not disappoint. I'll discuss the biggest winners (Arizona, Miami) and losers (Green Bay, Buffalo & Tennessee) of the opening week and go through the schedule to see what took place in a wild and crazy start to the season.

(37:16) The wild card pennant races in the AL & NL are heating up, especially with both New York teams right in the middle of it. A hotly contested Subway Series over the weekend was the highlight in there were lots of fireworks coming from Mets SS Francisco Lindor with his bat and mouth. Also, it's time for the Yankees to trade Gary Sanchez and their plight over the last two weeks. Plus, the latest with who's still fighting for a playoff spot and who's fading fast. And a thought on the upcoming ESPN 30 for 30: Once Upon A Time in Queens, a documentary on the 1986 NY Mets.

(58:36) The top story out of college football this past week was how the Oregon Ducks pulled off an upset not a lot of people saw as they beat the Ohio State Buckeyes in Columbus. Does this mean it's curtains for Ohio State's chances of making it to the college football playoff? I'll get into that and recap some of the better matchups of Saturday, update the latest top ten rankings and look ahead to Week 4.

(1:06:33) The last Grand Slam event of the tennis season was intriguing as we have a teenage winner on the women's side (Emma Radacanu) and her journey to being a champion. But the main story was how Novak Djokovic's quest for immortality was shut down as Daniil Medvedev is your 2021 men's champ. I'll dissect what possibly happened to 'Joker' and how he fell short of winning the tournament, capturing his 21st title which would've been a record and becoming the first player in 52 years to win a calendar Grand Slam.

(1:14:54) Lastly, an update of Evander Holyfield filling in for Oscar de la Hoya in a fight that took place over the weekend. Needless to say, it didn't end up well. Same for Tito Ortiz in his fight with Anderson Silva.

(1:17:30) Of course, there's my Hero and Zero of the Week.

Can Giants Hold Off Dodgers? Intrigue In NL East? NFL WK 1 Matchups/KO Pick. College FB: Sizzles & Fizzles. Ben Simmons Wants Out! Five Major Stories At US Open. De La Hoya's Replacement Is WHO?

It may not be official, but summer is starting to fade away in 2021 as Labor Day has arrived. We can't say that for what's taking place throughout the sports universe. New seasons have started or will begin this week as Episode #212 is locked and loaded for your consumption. On deck:

(6:48) In what has been a weird and unpredicatable baseball season, the MLB playoff push goes into overdrive as we're a week into the month of September. How important is it for the Giants to win the division? Will they have what it takes psychologically to go deep in October if they end up hosting the Wild Card Game after leading the NL West all summer long? The NL East is getting interesting as the Braves have come back to the pack. The Phillies and Mets have cut into the divsion lead, but an intriguing week schedule wise could be a true test as they chase Atlanta for the top spot. The Yankees have cooled off after a torrid winning streak. The Mariners have overachieved as they're putting pressure on the teams above them in the AL wild card race. I discuss my over/under win totals as we hit the homestretch and what will Derek Jeter's Hall of Fame speech sound like come Wednesday night in Cooperstown?

(45:15) The NFL season is on the horizon. I'll get into the Week 1 storylines, including the release of Cam Newton in New England. The controversy surrounding vaccinated and unvaccinated players coming out of training camp and into the season. The big games on the schedule for the first week. With my 2021 Preview upcoming on Thursday, I'll share a nugget on who my knockout pool pick will be come Sunday.

(1:01:41) College football's first week had a quite few good matchups, but most did not live up to the hype. Georgia was stout in their win against Clemson. How that stacks up when it comes to the college football playoff down the road? Alabama was unstoppable, Notre Dame had to hang on to win vs. Florida State. #2 seed Oklahoma holds on win while being the 'road' team at home. Those are some of the games I'll discuss and I'll take a look ahead to Week 2.

(1:09:52) The Expendables, ahem, I mean, Lakers are at it again as they bring in ANOTHER reinforcement/mercenary in their quest to keep LeBron James happy for the franchise's 18th championship. The Nets also take a page out of the Expendables, bringing in two players, one who retired suddenly as a member of the team last year (i.e. Lamarcus Aldridge) and one who has lots of postseason experience (Paul Millsap). Plus, the Ben Simmons drama is percolating in Philadelphia as he wants out before the start of the year. Will it happen? Could this be a potential distraction? Who may be involved in trading for the talented, but disgruntled All-Star?

(1:17:20) A couple of NHL notes with a new COVID protocol and the players will participate in the Winter Games next year.

(1:17:56) The US Open tennis tournament has taken an unexpected twist as FIVE major developments have boiled to the surface over the past few days as the #3 men's player (i.e. Stefanos Tsitsipas) has been surprisingly ousted before the quarterfinals. The rise of 18 year old Carlos Alcaraz as he becomes the youngest player in 58 years to make the quarterfinal round. On the woman's side, another player rising in stature is Laylah Fernandez as she defeats both Naomi Osaka AND Angelique Kerber to thrust herself in the conversation to push for a semifinal or finals berth. The #1 women's player won't be around for a title as she gets bounced from the tournament after holding a comfortable lead against Shelby Rogers. I also get into the emotional press conference of Naomi Osaka and how this could be the last we see of her for quite some time. And then Sloane Stephens shares her experience of the hate and vitriol that's spewed on her social media accounts.

(1:33:30) Golfer Patrick Cantlay has won back to back tournaments over the course of eight days. Is this something to cherish or applaud? Or is it because it's not a major, does it not matter? Should we focus in on him being a top level player on the tour?

(1:36:32) Former boxing champion Oscar de la Hoya had an upcoming fight this weekend but had to bow out due to contracting the coronavirus. You won't believe who his replacement is scheduled to be. Evander Holyfield. YES! That Evander Holyfield!

(1:38:25) And of course, I close out with my Hero and Zero of the Week.

Please subscribe, leave a rating and post a review on Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, Spreaker, Stitcher, Spotify, Luminary, Amazon Music and iHeartRadio or wherever you get your podcasts.

In Yanks We Trust Come October? Thumbs Down On Mets, Baez & Lindor. NFL Over/Unders, College Football Preview. New Lakers: The Expendables! Novak's 'Slam' Chase. Taking Jake Paul Seriously?

August is about to depart and September is around the corner, but in the moment is my take on all that's going on in sports as Episode #211 has arrived. On deck:

(5:55) The polar opposites of the New York baseball teams as they've made news in the sport this past week. First up, the Yankees just completed a 13 game winning streak, putting themselves in prime position to make the postseason. It does pose the question, do you trust this core (i.e. Judge, Stanton, Sanchez, Torres, etc.) to deliver a championship? (17:33) Another rant about the god forsaken team that I root for in the Mets. How analytics ruined a big start by Taijuan Walker, the Javier Baez 'Thumbs Down' fiasco to the fans and there MUST be a complete house cleaning in store from the top on down as this team needs to do some major self-analysis this offseason. Plus, I'll take a look at the MLB playoff landscape as we head into the final month of the season.

(43:00) The NFL season is a week plus upon us. I'll review the over/under win totals for the year. Perhaps I'll give you a peek as to who I may choose come next week. I'll even get into my potential knockout pool pick to start off Week 1. I'll highlight what's going on throughout the league with some news and notes.

(54:04) The college football season is underway. I'll get into the first matchup of note this past weekend, what lies ahead this weekend as the highlight game will take place between #5 Georgia vs. #3 Clemson. I'll preview if there'll be a change at the top of the college football rankings at all throughout the course of the year, the alliance between the PAC-12, ACC & Big Ten and who'll be Heisman hopefuls come December?

(1:02:14) The Association was quiet, but there were a few transactions that took place. The Knicks offered Julius Randle a fair extension for some team flexibility. The new look Lakers add another familiar piece in Rajon Rondo as I'm going to dub them 'The Expendables' after the action movie and its mega cast of action heroes of the past. Is Kevin Garnett's Celtic number worthy of being risen up to the rafters at the TD Garden in Boston?

(1:09:17) Some signings in the NHL, a change in representation for Sabres' Jack Eichel as I've discussed in a recent podcast and a sad, untimely passing of former player, Jimmy Hayes.

(1:13:55) The final major tennis tournament of the year (US Open) with the only storyline being Novak Djokovic's chase for immortality in completing the calendar Grand Slam. Will he do it? Will the pressure mount as he gets closer to winning? What about the women's side as Naomi Osaka returns for her first Slam appearance since the Australian Open.

(1:20:08) Jake Paul is continuing to make his way and name in the world of boxing as he wins a split decision against former MMA fighter, Tyron Woodley. Is this a guy that we're going to have to take seriously?

(1:23:05) A thrilling six hole playoff goes under the radar, because it wasn't a major golf tournament, had Patrick Cantlay winning over Bryson Dechambeau as golf starts to gear up for the Ryder Cup coming soon.

(1:25:01) And closing out with my Hero and Zero of the Week.

MLB's Cream Rising To Top (ATL, LAD, NY), Miggy's 500th. Who's Next? Young QB's (Wilson, Lance) On Deck To Start? NBA X-Mas Sked/Ben Simmons's PHI Future? Nadal Out! Pacquiao Done?

Summer may be starting to slip away, but the sports universe isn’t ready to go off into the sunset just yet. I’ve got you all covered as Episode #210 is fresh off the presses. On deck:

(6:21) All seems to be right in the MLB as the following teams who had slow and sluggish starts and were expected to do big things this year (ATL, LAD & NYY) have all been a part of nine game winning streaks to propel them in great position to participate in the playoffs this October. Detroit's Miguel Cabrera hits his 500th home run of his illustrious career. Who is the next guy in line to hit one of baseball's biggest milestones? MLB is scheduling another 'Field of Dreams' Game next year between the Cubs and Reds. Will it capture the imagination and success the way it did this year? I'll have an up to the minute report on a couple of teams coming on strong in the Wild Card race as the pennant chase heats up with September on the horizon.

(37:41) The NFL preseason will close out this week and there's a lot of promise in NY surrounding #2 overall pick in QB, Zach Wilson. Why his productive training camp may not translate to success in the regular season? Same for Trey Lance in SF as he's looking to stake his claim as the starting QB over Jimmy Garoppolo. Could that possibly happen? My thoughts on HBO's Hard Knocks with the Dallas Cowboys. Plus, a key injury with the Jets (Carl Lawson), a key re-signing in Seattle (Jamal Adams) and two players recovering quickly from injury could be on a practice field this week (Indianapolis QB Carson Wentz and OG Quentin Nelson) and with college football just ten days away, I'll have who AP ranks as the #1 team in the nation. (It comes as no surprise.)

(52:20) The NBA schedule highlights the big news of the week. I'll detail the Christmas Day matchups, as well as, who'll play opening night to tip off the 75th anniversary of the Association. LeBron James not receiving one vote for being the best player in the league? I was shocked to see how low the NBA over/under win totals for the upcoming year were. I have a reason why that you won't want to miss. The Celtics have re-signed a couple of key contributors with their team (Marcus Smart & Robert Williams) Why is the Draymond Green-Kevin Durant squabble from two seasons ago rearing its ugly head today? Was the coach/GM of Golden State to blame as to why Durant didn't re-sign with the Warriors? Also, what's the latest with Ben Simmons's status as a member of the 76ers?

(1:09:54) The Arizona Coyotes will need to look for a new address to play? Will they stay in the state? Is Houston a possible destination? The NHL will adopt the ads on jerseys starting the year after next. The #1 pick of the draft this year will not suit up for Buffalo this year as he'll go back to college to play in his sophomore year. Was it something more than that? (i.e. Jack Eichel situation?) And the passing of NY Ranger great, Rod Gilbert.

(1:15:34) Another major competitor in men's tennis will not participate in a major tournament as Rafael Nadal will sit out with a foot injury. Does this make the road easier for Novak Djokovic to win the historic Grand Slam in a calendar year? Will there be an asterisk next to it if he does win?

(1:18:04) Manny Pacquiao surprisingly loses to an unknown fighter for the welterweight title. Is this the end for legendary boxer?

(1:20:59) Of course, to close the pod, I have my Hero and Zero of the Week.

Please subscribe, leave a rating and post a review on Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, Spreaker, Stitcher, Spotify, Luminary, Amazon Music and iHeartRadio or wherever you get your podcasts.

MLB's 'Dream'ing, Tatis Jr., Sale, Cole Return & A No-No First? NFL Young Gun QB's Camp Progress. Kawhi: 100% Trustworthy? The End Of Roger Federer?

Taking you through the dog days of August as there’s plenty of sports content to analyze and dissect. Episode #209 has it all for the diehard or casual sports fan. On deck:

(4:52) Despite college & pro football in the not too distant future and the winter sports (hockey and basketball) opening up training camps next month, it's all about baseball as the pennant races start to shift a little bit. I'll share my thoughts on the Field Of Dreams game in Iowa between the Yankees vs. White Sox and how this is a positive if they were to put this event on the schedule year in and year out. I'll also get into the returns of Fernando Tatis Jr. and what he means to the Padres. The unlikelihood of history being made by Diamondbacks pitcher, Tyler Gilbert throwing a no-hitter in his first start. Chris Sale's first time on a major league mound since 2019 and what he means to the Red Sox? Will Gerrit Cole be rejuvenated after a stint on the COVID health and safety protocol list? Plus, all of the latest up to the minute pennant races as I go across the entire MLB landscape.

(36:17) I'm tracking the early progress of the QB's that were drafted in the first round of the NFL Draft (i.e. Jacksonville's Trevor Lawrence, New York Jets Zach Wilson, San Francisco's Trey Lance and Chicago's Justin Fields) as they headline what's going on in training camp to date. Some news regarding a smart trade by the Steelers. Have the chances run out for talented but troubled DE Aldon Smith? And what's happening in New Orleans as the Saints aren't able to get out of their own way with personnel issues, no starting NFL corners and is Jameis Winston or Taysom Hill the answer at QB?

(50:14) There were a couple of major signings in the NBA as Luka Doncic re-ups with the Mavericks, but more of the talk is the Kawhi Leonard contract with the Clippers. While that may not come as a surprise, it does beg the question, can you trust him 100% to deliver despite his basketball resume? Speaking of the Clippers, they've made an upgrade at the guard position which'll help them battle it out for Western Conference supremacy. And the Celtics sign a point guard who's an 'irrational confidence' guy, but will it pay dividends with the young guys on the team?

(1:02:10) A huge injury from one of the NHL's top stars in Toronto (Auston Matthews) may be sidelined right up until the start of the season. And a veteran (Joe Thornton) going on two decades in the league signs with the upstart Florida Panthers. Also, the sad passing of legendary goaltender, Tony Esposito.

(1:07:02) Roger Federer will miss 'many months' as he needs another surgery on his right knee. Is this the beginning of the end for the all-time great?

(1:08:38) Boxing takes another hit as Errol Spence Jr. had to step away from his fight with Manny Pacquiao as he deals with an eye issue. Will his substitute bring any attention to the boxing/fight fan out there?

(1:10:42) As always, I close out with my Hero and Zero of the Week.

Another Mets Meltdown! Is There Hope? Lakers Reload In NBA Free Agent Frenzy. BUF QB Allen Sets Bar For Baker & Lamar Megadeals? Olympic Conclusion! Jack Eichel vs. Sabres Mgmt.?

Your boy is back at it! Another action packed, fast paced journey through the sports landscape as I share my thoughts, analysis and opinions as Episode #208 is fresh off the presses. On deck:

(5:17) The collapse of the NY Mets as they not only fall out of first place for the first time in three months, but fall to third place in the division in a 48 hour span. I'll recap the disgrace of a road trip with a sweep in Philadelphia and should us Met fans hold out any hope? Is this season, which is going down the drain, relatively over in August? I'll take a trip throughout the sport with what's happening on the diamond and catch you all up on the pennant races to date.

(36:49) The Association (a.k.a. The NBA) was wheeling and dealing over the past week. Some controversy regarding some sign and trades (i.e. Lonzo Ball & Kyle Lowry) regarding alleged tampering prior to the opening of free agency. Who were the big winners of the past week? I'll cover all of the major tranactions, including the Lakers re-tool and reload as they look to get back to winning another championship.

(51:24) The NFL had a very good week with the preseason underway for the first time in two years. A couple of major signings, including Bills QB, Josh Allen's $258 million dollar contract. What does this mean for his fellow draft classmates Baker Mayfield and Lamar Jackson? Contracts are the theme off the field when it comes to the current status of Steeler OLB T.J. Watt, Dolphins CB Xavien Howard, Justin Houston choosing Baltimore over Pittsburgh, to name a few. I'll also share my thoughts about the historic Hall of Fame ceremonies over the weekend to induct the 2020 & 2021 honorees into Canton. The life and legacy of former Florida State football coach, Bobby Bowden, who passed away over the weekend at the age of 91. Plus, the end of the Big 12 in college football as Oklahoma and Texas will move over to the SEC in 2025.

(1:06:44) The Olympics have finally come to a close. Why were the ratings more than 50% lower than the past summer games of yesteryear? I'll take a look at the top stories of the past week and look ahead to the Winter Games which will take place less than six months from now in Beijing, China.

(1:11:46) The ongoing saga between Sabres F Jack Eichel and management in regards to surgery that needs to be required on his neck with FIVE YEARS left on his deal. How long will this tug of war last? Will the Sabres trade their top player? Will he stay in Buffalo? Is surgery on the table anytime soon? A fascinating story developing with one of the league's top players. Also, a couple of key defensemen re-sign with their clubs.

(1:20:44) There was a dominant victory in the heavyweight division on Saturday night in the UFC. Is Cyril Gane one to look out for in the weeks and months to come?

(1:22:48) One of the world's most popular athletes in the world, soccer legend Lionel Messi, leaves Barcelona to reportedly sign with PSG. So I'll have a word on that.

(1:25:10) To close, I have my Hero and Zero of the Week.
