NFL's Final Month, MLB Winter Meetings, Heisman Trophy, NBA & NHL News

As winter slowly approaches, the sports scene heats up as I’ll dissect all that’s going on with this weeks edition of The JAYREELZ Podcast. The final quarter of the NFL season has begun and it certainly did not disappoint. Wild finishes in Miami, Oakland and Kansas City were just the start of another wacky Sunday in the NFL. Also, the Jets and Giants were both victorious on the same day in almost two years, with big contributions from their respective first round picks, Sam Darnold and Saquon Barkley. I’ll get into that and everything that took place over the weekend in Week 14 across the league. A Heisman Trophy winner has been crowned in college football. Oklahoma QB Kyler Murray gets the nod, but not without controversy. I’ll reveal what the furor was over what the QB said, and what makes for an interesting matchup with fellow nominee, Alabama QB Tua Tagovailoa in the college football playoff on December 29th. The MLB Winter Meetings commence in Las Vegas today. I’ll share what to possibly expect as we may see some big moves take place as the Hot Stove will be sure to cook up a lot of rumors over the next few days. Plus, the NHL receives a new franchise and the latest in the NBA on this weeks jam packed episode of The JAYREELZ Podcast. (Episode 43)

NFL Roundup! Giants Fizzle in Philly! College FB Review. Machado in Pinstripes?

Are you ready for a post-Thanksgiving helping of what’s going on in the world of sports? You’ve come to the right place as The JAYREELZ Podcast will fix a plate of all kinds of sports goodness to whet your appetite. The NFL season is about to head into the homestretch. Teams are jockeying for early playoff positioning in both the AFC & NFC. I’ll recap the week that was in the league, including the Steelers dud in Denver, Seattle guts one out in Carolina and what that loss means for the Panthers with two matchups vs. the Saints in the weeks to come. Plus, Pat Shurmer’s ineptitude in the Giants loss at Philadelphia which officially ends their season and the Jets hanging tough, but it’s not enough as their losing streak reaches five games with a loss to the Patriots. It was a wild weekend in college football with Michigan being embarrassed by Ohio St., Notre Dame hangs on vs. USC and Texas A&M wins one for the ages in a seven OT shootout with LSU. But all eyes are looking ahead to Conference Championship weekend as to who’ll be the last four teams standing for the right to play in the FBS playoff come December 29th. You’ll hear my take on all of the scenarios of who’ll make it and who won’t to decide this college football season. I’ll also chime in on the Manny Machado to the Yankees rumor, the Knicks recent success, other NBA news, some NHL talk, including a GM fired down in Philadelphia and much more on Episode #40 of The JAYREELZ Podcast. NFL Bubble Teams After Week 11. Harbaugh's D-Day. NBA News. Miguel Andujar Robbed of AL ROY

As we head into Thanksgiving Week, there are plenty of football dishes to be served up as I’ll place them all around the sports table on this weeks edition of The JAYREELZ Podcast. It was another wacky, zany week in the NFL as we saw some separation between the pretenders and contenders. Teams that were already on the bubble (i.e. PHI, ATL, GB, JAX, even WSH, perhaps?) have put their seasons on the brink. Get my take on all that happened in Week 11, with a look to the Thanksgiving games and Week 12, plus, are the Saints/Rams and Chiefs shoo-ins for the Super Bowl? The College Football season is slowly coming to an end, but not before the highly anticipated matchup between Michigan vs. Ohio State. How big of a game is this for UM coach, Jim Harbaugh? What does this mean for his coaching legacy at Ann Arbor? I’ll dig in to that, and, get into what’s happening with the Golden State Warriors? Is Carmelo Anthony’s NBA career done? And why Miguel Andujar was robbed of the AL Rookie of the Year? It’s a sports feast that you won’t want to miss on the latest episode of The JAYREELZ Podcast. (Episode 40)

NFL Week 3/Jets/Giants, Yanks/MLB's Final Week, NBA News, Tiger Woods

As we hit the homestretch of September, the sports landscape continues to stay on fire. I’ll have it all covered on this weeks edition of The JAYREELZ Podcast. The Jets suffered a tough loss in Cleveland as the Browns win their first game in almost two years. While the Giants get in the win column with a solid effort down in Houston vs. the Texans. You’ll get all of the analysis of both games, with a trip around the league in another wild and wacky Week 3 in the NFL! The Yankees have concluded their regular season schedule at home. Despite a final homestand record of 5-4, there are plenty of question marks and doubt surrounding this team as it heads into October. There’ll be hot takes abound with the Bombers, plus all of the up to the minute pennant race talk throughout the MLB. Minnesota Timberwolves G/F Jimmy Butler has been the flavor of the week in the NBA and he’d like to play in New York (yes, even the Brooklyn Nets are on the list) Hear my thoughts on the free agent to be next year and whether or not he’s a good fit for the Knicks or Nets. Finally, Tiger Woods has made it back to the top. No, not at a major tournament, but nevertheless, he won the Tour Championship to claim his 80th victory in his illustrious career. What does this mean moving forward? Time will tell, but I have a comment on the possibility of what may be in store for Tiger in 2019. Coming at you fast and furious with all that’s happening in the world of sports on the latest episode of The JAYREELZ Podcast. (Episode 31)

Back at it with another fast paced sports talk party on this edition of The JAYREELZ Podcast. The Yankees bounce back with a 6-1 week after losing five in a row, including four against their hated rivals, the Red Sox. I'll get on the Yankee fans who booed Giancarlo Stanton as he's carrying the team without Aaron Judge or Gary Sanchez in the lineup, the vast improvement of Aaron Hicks and the one similarity between Aaron Boone and Mets manager, Mickey Callaway. I'll also go around the horn to check out the MLB landscape, what pennant races are heating up and how four divisions may come down to the last weekend of the baseball season to capture a division title. You'll get my thoughts on Tiger Woods's close call of winning his 15th major championship this past weekend at the PGA. Plus, will this recent stretch of success carry over into 2019 into The Masters? Finally, you'll hear what I have to say about Sam Darnold's chance of winning the starting QB job for the Jets. And Saquon Barkley's impact on this Giants offense. All of that, and then some on this weeks' episode of The JAYREELZ Podcast. (Episode 24)
