(3:43) With the NBA & NHL crowning champions, despite the MLB in our lives daily from now through October, what is there to look forward to in the sports world.

(9:43) The Knicks celebrate their first championship with a parade in NYC today. Are the Knicks able to run it back for a repeat next years? Not so fast, says owner James Dolan.

(24:42) Some coaching changes have been made in the NHL, including the Western Conference champion Vegas Golden Knights, who have already moved on from John Tortorella.

(33:43) Who thought that the Yankees wouldn’t thrive without MVP Aaron Judge in the AL East? Are the Braves starting to come back to the pack in the NL East?

(47:00) The third Grand Slam in golf commences today at Shinnecock Golf Club in Long Island. Will Scottie Scheffler achieve the career Slam?

(55:44) The World Cup is now a week in with some interesting storylines. Spain & Portugal ending up in ties? Mbappe & Messi continue to play at a high level and how will the US fare against Australia in the next match and the tournament overall?

Champions have been crowned, so it’s time to reflect and look ahead as the latest edition of the podcast has plenty to unpack with what the sports world has given us. On deck:

(4:14) The wait is finally over for the New York Knicks. Their historic run culminates in an improbable title down in San Antonio Saturday night. It’s time to unleash the 53 years of heartache, heartbreak, pain and suffering the only way I know how. You’ll have to tune in to find out, as well as, where does this team rank in NYC sports history? Jalen Brunson’s Knick status? And is this the best Finals run ever? Plus, the future of the Spurs and why I’m down on Victor Wembanyama?

(46:13) Nothing is finer in Carolina than winning a Stanley Cup, 20 years after winning their first. I’ll get into how they turned this Cup Finals around after four grueling games to start and cruised in the last two to capture the best prize in all of sports. Also, what is the future of Vegas coach John Tortorella?

(53:50) Has baseball become an afterthought in the sports landscape and will have the stage all by itself for the next couple of months?

(1:02:14) The World Cup is well underway with USA dominating in its first game over Paraguay. The bigger story is the health of their star player, Christian Pulisic. How could this impact them from making a deep run in the tournament?

(1:08:06) A sad note to report in the NFL as former 49ers DE Aldon Smith passed away at the age of 36.

(1:09:51) Did anyone watch the UFC Freedom 250 event last night?

And MUCH MORE in between!

The temperatures are rising as summer approaches and so will the latest podcast bringing all of the sports heat that the casual or diehard fan will appreciate. On deck:

(3:51) Is this real? Knicks fans think so. The NBA Finals shifts to Madison Square Garden for Games 3 & 4 starting tonight. Is it premature to celebrate as this team hasn’t lost since late April? Could something turn their fate in a snap?

(27:18) Just three games in, this Stanley Cup Final is turning into a classic with comebacks galore. Overtime and double overtime games. Will Vegas go up 3-1 in the series? Or will Carolina make this a best of three and take back the home ice?

(38:33) Yankees slugger Aaron Judge is out indefinitely with a rib fracture. Is all well in The Bronx? Or could they possibly miss out on the postseason? Mets pitcher Freddy Peralta wants how much money as he enters free agency after this year?

(51:20) Alexander Zverev wins his first Grand Slam tournament taking the French Open in Paris. Does this win come with an asterisk? And congratulations to Mirra Andreeva on winning her first ever major tournament on the women’s side.

(58:33) Golden Tempo wins the Belmont Stakes, but because the horse didn’t run at the Preakness, I don’t want to hear his camp taking bows. I’ll explain.

(1:00:57) Are the Bears really moving to Northwest Indiana? Plus, more trouble off the field regarding some players.

And MUCH MORE in between.

Smack dab in the middle of the summer season, the heat isn’t letting up any time soon. Same for yours truly as I’ll dole out praise and critiques on the latest and greatest in the sports world with the latest podcast. On deck:

(3:14) Some housekeeping to attend to as I implore you all to quench your thirst during this hot summer to date, by going to www.drinkolipop.com OLIPOP soda is your panacea to cool off during the season. You’ll get 15% OFF of your order by using the code: JAYREELZ at checkout. I truly appreciate it.

(5:08) What more can you say about the play of Carlos Alcaraz, winning his second straight Wimbledon and back to back Grand Slam Finals (he won the French Open last month) defeating Novak Djokovic in straight sets. Has the torch been passed to the 21 year old? Who else can challenge him besides Djokovic moving forward. On the women’s side, #31 ranked Barbora Krejcikova surprisingly won her first Wimbledon defeating upstart Jasmin Paolini in a riveting match as the third Grand Slam of 2024 is complete.

(19:47) MLB has hit the All-Star Break. I’ll take a look at the big picture of the first half (HINT: AL has some intrigue, NL not so much. Unless you’re looking at the wild card which is bananas at the moment), discuss some of the big series and stories from the weekend. I can’t forget about the draft last night as they do their best to generate interest similar to the NFL and NBA Drafts. The Home Run Derby tonight (and Pete Alonso’s participation) and how the All-Star Game is a shell of its former self. And I’ll spend a minute on the state of Wander Franco’s status as who knows when we’ll ever see him grace a diamond considering the latest news regarding the embattled star player.

(47:21) Knicks guard Jalen Brunson has taken a pay cut to increase payroll flexibility for the team to procure or re-sign players in their quest to get to the NBA Finals. Was this a smart move for Brunson? Will the Knicks make a deal to bring in someone with championship experience to their roster before training camp? Also, the league has released the group series for the upcoming 2024 NBA Cup. Seriously? Does anyone really care?

(57:40) Some sad news as there were two deaths in the NFL over the past few days. Longtime defensive coordinator Monte Kiffin, architect of the Tampa 2 defense of the late 90’s into the 2000’s, dies at the age of 84. And former Baltimore Raven, Jacoby Jones, who has the longest play in Super Bowl history (108 yard kickoff return) dies at the age of 40. I close out with a few choice words of enjoying life and living in the moment.
